The roof of my heart is torn apart
By the choir of that echoing storm
In the tune of overburdened words
"I can't love you anymore."
And the silence that followed
Smashed all these fractured walls
Which laid bare to whatever's left
Of my nearly sequestered soul.
As I asked a futile question
"What did I do wrong?"
The only thing that's standing
Behind these squandered emotions
Is a frail piece of foundation
Holding on to fading memories
Drenched in the puddles of the past
Scattered all over the nostalgic floor.
It finally crumbled to ruins
With an answer beyond repair.
"I don't love you anymore."
