Aug 2017
wake this morning
at it again
wiping tears
from porcelain skin
she screams
he yells
I already know
please stop daddy
pack up and go
the lights get further
they're over the hill
any excuse
for another cheap thrill
years go by
and never a call
distance away
is not a cure-all
nonexistence of you
is all that I ask
take head and listen
and learn from the past
I weep and wallow
for you no more
goodbye daddy
my shameful mentor
