Deceived by the beauty
Of kisses stolen
Between the sheets
In the shadow
Of the sunset
I spilled my guilt
To bathe in her lust,
Each muted expression
Of a truth unspoken
Felt beneath the skin
Of a fleeting affair
Where the winter remained.
