Please unsee me
For I cannot take the glare
Nor the crippling affliction
Of unwanted stares

Transparency remains elusive
And is a most formidable foe
Whereas invisibility is ever enticing
That old friend I've come to know

Please unsee me
I do not shine in the brisk light
But take comfort in the shadows
Offered up by the solemn night

Finding bright amongst the dark
Gives power to one's dreams
Though I wonder, through enlightenment,
Can I still remain unseen
