She was the first one to love me
I'll never forget
Days of wonder
Nights of zest
Happy times
Smiles galore
I loved her so much
Her, I still adore
Now we are older
Over and gone from each other
Still, we go on
Remembering the measure
Of the great pleasure
To be in the other's arms

And so it is on the Saturday morn
I think of us when we were cozy and warm
The world at our feet
We had it all back then
Life was so sweet
She now lives in a happy home
It turned out fine for my dear one
I can say the same for me
As we both roam through life
Giving thanks for each day
And the love we still share
Ne'er to drift away
