Bank Holiday Monday
is
like Sunday without the bells
almost quiet but not quite
there's a slight murmur
down on the corner
where a crowd is gathering
(and I bet it's not corn)

all ears
I strain to hear
but it's too far away
which is
a bit like Friday
on a Bank
Holiday Monday
