Love Was Born
You tell me,
Crushes are unhealthy,
Crushes tire us out and break our hearts.
They take away our energy,
Fill our Souls with false hopes and memories,
Lead to regrets and impossible fantasies,
Only give the gift of suffering,
My crush died a long time ago,
Six months after fate, pointed me to my destiny,
That you call a hopeless infatuation,
My beautiful rose stabbed me,
Through my weak heart,
With a very long and sharp thorn.
That day, I felt a sharp pain and thought my life ended.
I did not die or run away,
It was the pain of love, being born.
The day I discovered I fell in love with a dream.
A miracle that made me strong,
The pain that gave birth,
To impossible fantasies.
Dreams of places and times I never lived.
This miracle that gave me the courage to stay,
To write of impossible love, heroes, music, courage,
And fairy tales, I share with the world every day.
There is only one more fantasy,
I pray love grants me,
The health and courage,
To bring into my reality.
