Let 'Em Go
A life of paper stars,
Folded down into pages torn from notebooks,
Bent and creased into paper planes.
Let the wind take off,
And let them go,
Disappear into the sky.
I hope you find
Each word I wrote for you,
Because I'm letting them go,
Letting them go
So they may find you.
So maybe I'll drift
Off into a better sleep
When my words reach your heart,
And my heart grows whole
By touching your soul.
