Break Me Through Silence (Lessons I want to teach my children)
Keep your arms open wide,
Open wide.
Treat with love every time,
Every time.
Be fair, be certain, and be kind,
Be kind.
I'm afraid I cannot call a house a home,
A home.
I can only keep going, I know,
I know.
But there is nowhere to go,
To go.
And you'd give it all,
It all.
To paint these walls,
These walls.
With tear I've let fall,
Let fall.
To show that beauty can come,
Can come.
From even the saddest heart's thrum,
Heart's thrum.
And within the beat of every drum,
Every drum,
Good can be found,
Be found.
If only you look up from the ground,
The ground.
Please remember,
Keep your arms open wide,
Open wide.
Treat with love every time,
Every time.
Be fair, be certain, and be kind,
Be kind.
Thoughtful today.
