I hope you never look around at all the happy couples and make yourself feel ugly and worthless. I hope you never show up at a high school dance sad because no one asked you to be their date. I hope you never feel the need to be validated by another person. I hope you never completely lower your standards because you are getting tired of waiting around. Because *******, you don't need someone else to make you happy or feel valuable. If you can't love yourself, how do you expect to love someone else? You don't need to have a date to have a good time, find some great friends and I promise you you'll have a much better experience. You sure as hell don't need someone else to validate you, just be yourself and don't even bother with other people's opinions. And never, ever lower your standards. By investing in a low quality relationship, you're just setting yourself up for heartbreak in the end.
