Do apples taste like ash,

Down yonder, around the bend?
Have the Fruit
                          Fallen
                          Rotten
When the story nears its end?

What sorrow does the future hold?
What wonders will it span?
Am I Bound
                       to Bear
                       the Bond
                       of Gold

Or be alone again*?
