Responsibility spooked me like a ghost,
Terrified of my own accountability.

Discipline dreaded my conscience,
Realizing that punishment was mandated.

Duties frightened my lazy mind,
Knowing that obligations had to be fulfilled.

Waking up to a scary reality,
That I had to grow up and become serious.

The route to adulthood was exhausting,
Yet a rewarding task filled with excitement.
