Aug 2016
shadows cast smiles:
my blindfold
sewn into a
starry night

familial ghosts
carrying you away
  - over a decade

alone: today

I bury you again

with dry eyes and
a blank face
  - blackened

crafted
by the callous hands
of tragedy:
memories

never wash away
This poem is about a child who is shielded from grief.
