Misery wants to hold your hand,
Trying to convince joy into feeling sad.

Asking you to follow an unhappy path,
Despair can be extremely persuasive.

Sorrow doesn’t want to stand alone,
Wanting other people to feel depressed.

Reject the hand that offers false hope,
Even if the route of happiness is a lonely trail.
