I am not a religious person.
But tonight I will pray
To anyone who may care.
Tonight when I go to sleep,
I will pray for a better tomorrow.
I will pray for the escape that sleep
Is supposed to bring.
Not the nightmares which haunt me.
I will pray for the safety and happiness
Of the ones I love.
I will pray for the strength
Which I cannot find,
And a reason to keep getting up
In the morning.
But mostly I will pray
For forgiveness from the one I truly
Care about.
I will pray to keep him in my life.
I would do anything
To keep him in my life.
