A fisherman was he
Husky and bold who
Believes in Sea-God
To fill his daily paunch
Loved his wife like
The vast blue sea
Left with his watercraft
In the morning waves
Never was he seen till
The dawn of the sun

Sitting on the sea-shore
Was she, with her
Lantern's dim light
Staring at the sea with
Tears flowing through
Her scrawny cheeks
Expecting him to come back
Remembering his words
With a gloomy sigh
Dear, I'll be back soon !

Promising the Sea-God
To sacrifice herself
Waiting till sunrise for
The homecoming of
Her loving husband
Seeing the immortal
Love for her man
Sea mother decides
To give him back
For her surprise

Seeing him far away smile like sunrise
Jumping in joy of conquering
A bull shark's pride !
