I'm a fallen leaf
Carried by the wind
To places far from my home
Thru my journey
I've been tousled
Torn by the weather and sun
The farther I roam
The more my color fades
And my edges fray
Taking a rest
Then catching a breeze
Trying to find my way
Pieces of me
Start to break away
Changing who I was
Fragile and alone
Broken inside
I finally stop to pause
Home is my roots
That keep me safe
Nurture my heart and soul
If wander I must
I ought always return
To renew and revert to whole
