May 2016
Whitest snow,
Fair yellow,
Olive kissed,
And freckled mist.

Creamed coffee,
Sweet toffee,
Dark cocoa,
The skin you know.

Pigmentation
Causes lamentation.
The colors, the shades
That bring about hate.
Skin this fruit and taste,
The sweetness stays the same.
So why am I to be judged
Based off of my race?

Making children ashamed
Because you fail to see,
What lies inside of them
Is just another human being.

Ribbon our skin,
The beauty lies within.
In a world without color
We'd learn to know each other.
