Only when I have hope
Does my mouth become a fountain
In central Rome
Fed by aqueducts
As ancient as memory
Only when I have hope
That the water in my words
Will make you want to swim
That you'll be wet
With the feeling that I give you
Only when I have hope
Hope only you can give me
Only when I have hope
Does my mouth become an ocean
My thoughts are rising tides
Youre standing on a beach
And my waves will reach you

But right now
Im in a desert
Dying of thirst
          And water
Is but a bitter memory

I'm worried I've lost my hope
Hope only you can give me
