Mar 2016
frozen statues,
victims,
what would you have them do

she is part of the world
that he seeks to
destroy

he is not the curse
inflicted on the vessel
soft skin
turned to fur and teeth

only in the fade,
can he mutter apologies
of another life,
where it would be enough

he left her with nothing
but a world
a life
to watch him burn.
