We’re back together.
You left your other guy
The one you left me for
He didn’t measure up (you say)

You tried new things
Left you unfulfilled
Brings you back to me
Can it ever be? (the same)

I’m the rebound of
your rebound after me
Am I the least worse?
You can’t be on your own (you feign)

Am I even that special?
Do you want me after all,
or just any
that will take you?

Will you be the same, or worse?
Do you think I am the one?
Or  just going for a ride?
Yet another time.
