Such a painful loneliness
::::
when she was little
She had an IMAGINARY FRIEND !
( she was really such a lovely child )
//
She is still
A lonely girl
With
An IMAGINARY LOVER !
::
She imagines that he imagines
That he loves and adores her !
( she is trying so hard to feel real ! )
••
She writes poems to an IMAGINARY AUDIENCE
about him
About his comings and goings
His soulful truths and also his infidelities
::
Somehow ( of course ! )
She KNOWS he is not real
And so she had inside herself
Prepared the FINAL POEM
in which he leaves her
And leaves her with a
PERMANENTLY broken heart !!!
( her true reality ! )
She is left seeing herself
Not as a lonely person
But as a
SACRED VICTIM AND MARTYR
to love
And it's EXQUISITE PAIN !
Proving to herself
Her worth
And ADORABILITY !
)(
We readers imagine
We are being compassionate and understanding
When we praise such poems
But we know we too
Are just as insecure as she is
And our lives
Just as imaginary
••
Somewhere out there
Real or Imaginary TERRORISTS !
Are approaching !!!
We huddle around out televisions
Switching between
The NEWS
&
Our *******
( there is no difference anymore )
Where we imagine
That our IMAGINARY TRUE GOD
Is working to protect our
Imaginary Goodness
For the world
::
We get older
Death finally comes
And
All chance for freedom
Is gone
.
