I remember, sitting in my room at night.
I was dreaming; waiting for my valiant knight.

He'd surely sweep me off my feet, and hold me tight.
Amongst this dark world; he'd be my light.

He'd write me the most beautiful letters, that I've ever received.
Together; there would be so much that we could achieve.

But I waited; I waited for so long.
Waiting and hoping that my prince would come.

He never did, he must have forgotten about his princess to be.
Maybe he found another girl; one who isn't me.

I won't go to any *****, or have an elegant gown.
I'll stay here, in my quaint, little, boring town.

I'll forever stay a pauper, he: forever a prince.
Because of those days; I've never believed a fairy tail since.
