the man who walks great lengths everyday
to get to the job so he can have money to pay
the man who walks there no matter the weather
arrives at the job so cold because he hasn't a sweater
the man never complains never worries
for he knows God is there to help him on his journeys
the man who's starting anew
to all the strangers  he never knew
the man seeks rides and rides
from strangers passing by
he doesn't beg he doesn't wave down
they just give him a lift from town to town
