Exhausting are the questions
That just cannot be known
The ceiling of thinking
Is far below the soul

Yet wash it all over me
The legends and the myths
The folklore of my ancestors
The euphoric magical gifts

The goddesses
Who restore balance
The gods
Who direct our flights
My atheist heart can't dismisse
Such possibilities
At the end of life...
