Mar 2015
I felt the soft earth beneath my barefeet,
And overwhelmed I fell to my knees.
I clenched my fists
Digging my fingers deep into the ground.
Suddenly I began to weep profusely
For it had been an eternity since I had felt so happy
And longer still since I had felt so alive.
