Imprisoned

I ran as far as I could from you.

When I realized running wouldn't work,

I tried to hide.

But hiding never worked either.

So instead I will do nothing.

Because there is nothing I can do to get you out of my mind.

You are stuck in the jail cell that is my mind.

You're imprisoned there and refuse to even try and escape.

If I could, I'd pluck you from my mind and stick you on a post in the middle of a corn field far, far away.

I'd leave you there and never return,

But I cant.
