all the way down the coast
from washington to new york
from manhattan to conneticut

you were the one I wanted to be walking next to

from trusting to needing
from loving to leaving
it was you it was you it was you

I want you I want you
I kept saying
I want you I want you

but the years in between us were great
and the miles even greater

so I let go I let go
I let myself let go of you

because I'm stupid enough to believe you'll find your way back to me
