Pink Skies
Philline Mar 2018
She's letting the wind blow her crowning glory
Dispersing in mid air
Touching her rosy cheeks
Covering her tantalizing eyes
She is the portrait of aesthetic art

He just watches her enjoy the panaroma
His lips stretching into a wide smile
His eyes glow with a hint of adoration
His heart pulsates under pink skies

Silence is deafeningly astounding
When two hearts synchronize in beating
And that drum beat is all they can hear
When love begins here

Phaedra
Philline Aug 2017
She was the daughter of the King of Crete
Sister of Ariadne, young and sweet
Married to Theseus; her sister used to love
Had a misfortune path fell in love with another lad

Hippolytus, handsome but a chaste
Son of her husband, she's a victim of lust
Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty
Created this adversity now she claims responsibility

She did all she can to have the man
Longing for love which only he could fill her heart
Rejection is what she gets even if she cram
Painful it was like stabbed by a thousand dart

Suicidal, she is ashamed;
her inappropriate and unreciprocated passion
Died while leaving amorous accusations
Then Theseus came and put his son into blame

Without hearing his side of the story he was treated as a beast
Hippolytus died as the cause of her demise
This is based on Euripides' Hippolytus
