Today marks my 100th writing
I am grateful
For the hard times that inspired me to write
And the happy times that drove my passion
And all the eyes that my words caught
And to all who passed by to like
And those who went further to comment
And to my future fans
Cheers to us all

The soul that is genuinely joyous
Over the successes of other souls
Is more beautiful than rubies
More expensive than silver
And more priceless than gold

It is adorned with honesty
And embellished with rainbow
It speaks the language of love
And wins the race of truth all day

This type will always say
I am happy when you are happy
This beauty of a soul
Will intercede when eyes unwatch
This priceless soul will always say
I love you

Sometimes
I cry with smiles
Sometimes
I smile with tears
Please
Ask me first
Lest
You console the happy me
And
Rejoice in my sorrow
Do not be hasty in judgement. Your six could be my nine and vice versa

I stand at the ocean gate, submersed
Searching for my beloved
Fighting the waves and sharks
And the dreaded hearts of yesterday
My fear remains
That I will be lost in the ocean
And found by tomorrow's titans

Flowers
Fading
And wilting away
Redefining beauty
On the garden floor
As a banquet is added
To the colony
Of soil delicacies
To bring forth like beauties
In bounteous folds

I wish pictures reflect who we truly are
that every pixel represents the smallest unit of a person's soul
Where every atom would portray our true being
Well, as we would have it
We only see a fine display of fleshly aura
And it only takes a voyage beyond this world To discover true colors

Life forms
When sperms play with eggs
Breastmilk flows at the sound of a baby
You are able to wake up after a sleep
Your eye patterns are perfectly intricate
A great machine to see the magics of life
Digestion happens  when you  swallow
Excretion happens when you squat
Blood flows through  the veins
And life is fairly given

All of this
And more of miracles
Lay bare before the eyes of the world
And you still say it's a big bang?
Coincidence?
What a Blast!
If not the doing of the Lord
What?
God the creator

The chocolaty panache
And coffee sensation
The shimmering elegance
And sparkly finish
Skin so unique
With earthly flamboyance
The daring charisma of the African skin
Black is indeed beautiful

Books have been there
Books are still there
Technology has been there
And it only gets better
But why
People speak more highly of books
Why the hate for Tech
What if Tech came before books
Would the narrative change?
Is it the fact that book is paper?
If it is the knowledge
If it is the wisdom it exudes
Then technology is a smarter book
Flipping through pages
Checking index and markups
I do these in a click
And my palm is my shelve
Don't get it twisted
Books are still great

I choose to be born again
To new parents
With no mutual place of coitus
Or a mortal longing to satisfy

I choose to be born again

I can feel the soft lips of the season
Kissing my colourful skin
It leaves a certain melody on my pores
And fills the emptiness left from long ago
Hymns of the manger rhyme with the wind
While the business of men soldier on
The church bells announce the joyous meet
While Santa prepares our bounteous fanta
The breeze of the eve roam with cheerful hope
And day and night dance the friendly salsa
Our savior alone
The chief cornerstone
And the hope of life
Born in a manger
And sins to atone
So sings the melodious trombone

Help me ask Santa
Will he come
If the snowflakes are ninety nine
Peradventure eighty
Will he still come
Say the flakes become seventy
Will we see him
Peradventure fifty
Will he consider
What of forty
Will the reindeers move
If they are thirty
Is he coming
If the ice count twenty
Should we expect him
Peradventure ten
Is this too small
If they reduce to five
Will he want to move
If there remain no flake
Will we get our gifts?

The globe is warming
The world is changing
Santa's gift hanging
And life is dying

The sun is in the flake's den
And the battle is gruesome
The hail is losing blood and feeling the heat
The ice on the berg runs into the blue
And the dolphins are bolting out of it

The plea of life beckons wild
For a speedy slow down
And a timely move
Away from winter's space

Hear oh people of the land
It's about time
When money will be a clown
Your notes will have no value
And your trade will be disturbed
oh man
Are you ready for the shock
Oh my beloved country
Are you stacking your barns
The time is near and now is
When the dollar will be gone
And money will be in the cloud
The pride of scoffers abroad
Will melt in everlasting void
A new life and a brand new era
Falling on us from the land of the beast
The time is now
And it's nearer than our shadows

Night has fallen
The morn is due
Here I am a goodly maiden
Cumbered with the want for Adam

I yearned for you with a strange feel
While you were yet afar
This concupiscence like the dawn man
Has eaten away my sensory faculty

Like a fierce soldier on the bridge of war
I jumped into an awakening
Never will I be a slave
To the famous black archfiend

He will fill me with a want
To be a perpetual transgressor
To love the very crime I dread
And be filled with dreaded guilt

I will arise and be feisty
Like the valorous commander proper
Fully armored with the righteous breastplate
And the ageless sword of the spirit

Dear God
I have inscribed my little beginnings upon the lines
The journey may seem long
And my vision blurred
But I know
Yes I know
That not long
I will be the same scribe
That will pen down the sweet remains of the remaining journey
In you I trust
And my testimony is sure
Inspired by my dear friend

The eye of deceit has a black cornea and white pupil
peacholivet May 2020
I laid down motionless with memories of me
Frozen as Everest recounting the dark
Foggy lights and the brightest darkness
Shadowed the clear path of my being
Crooked the road of life I saw
Winding through the river course
The cold snow seared my open skin
In the sun my bones chilled the lowest degree
Deception threw its towel at me
I caught it with revived naivety
And wiped my sweat not knowing the test
Temptation clouded my brightest morn
I saw ahead but failed to look
Ambiguous warmth run through my blood
As I received countless unsolicited visits
One hundred times a day
From the compulsory lesson-devils of life
While I beckoned them to tarry awhile
They marched in with their next of kin
Teaching me one lesson or two
To look well whenever I see
And listen better when I hear
Life teaches so many lessons. Deception is all over. It pays to be alert

Shadows drying at the shore
Heavy vacuum to the core
Noon dew bidding farewell
In the  midnight waves to dwell

The passing day a sight to see
Fears and tears on wings to flee
Sunset nearing from afar
Faith to catch a better star

Lord I put my trust in thee
Like a lone bird on a tree
Daily bread you always give
By thy word I surely live

I have emptied my mind
Thrown away all fantasies
Buried all my worries
I am here now
Fill me Lord
Let your will take over

Fill me Lord
Fill me up
Let your abundance take over my nothingness
For I am nothing without you
Fill me Lord

And we breathe together again
When friendship no longer holds a gap
We shall embrace the morning and kiss the night once more

Sapiens hiding under the popular phrase to condemn fellow sapiens
There is nothing like Ghana or Nigeria Jollof
Jollof is how you make it
And no single person's jollof taste like the other

We go to the polls
We vote for their roles
We purge them of their moles
Do we have goals?
Do they have our goals?
Are they worth our strolls?
Do they feel for our souls?
Or they need our blows?
They have pierced arrows
Creating manholes
Our thumbs are our scrolls
We will read them when we close

God bless Ghana

And turquoise seas
Merging into teal atmospheres
Majestic creation
Of God omnipotent
Lord over all shades

I always wondered
Who made the clear blue sky
And exhibited goosebumps
When the moon and stars appeared at night
The highest mountain and the deepest valley
Who made them all so perfectly?
I entered grandma’s large room
To get answers to my questions
And there she was, sleeping soundly
Breathing the morning away
I sat close to her big brown bed
Sitting and watching her beautiful face
I also wanted to ask her
Who made her pretty face?
At last she awoke, Quamin she called
As she turned and sat on the bed
Grandma it’s me Amba I said
As I struggled to sit on her bed
Granny seemed not to make us out at all
When her glasses lay idle somewhere
Oh my! she exclaimed apologetically
As she brushed her feeble hands through my hair
How may I help you my little angel?
She asked with smiling eyes
Grandma I want to know from you
Who made the world so beautifully?
She smiled at me and whispered to me
Only my small ear could hear
His name is God was what I heard
Neither once nor twice but thrice
Her words and the truth sounded so true
I smiled as though I knew this God
I told her I wanted us to visit God
So I could give him fruits and pie
She drew me closer and closer to her
with her two giant and feeble arms
And told me that God is here
I was amazed to hear this again and again
She told me God is everywhere
Omnipresent is the word she used
And mentioned other Omni words
She told me there is a creation story
And promised to tell me the story at night
While I rested in her warm embrace
I knew grandma was the best
Even more amazing is the faithful God we serve
The day and night he made on the first day
And the wide sky on the second day
On the third day he created the land and grass
The sun moon and stars came fourth
On the fifth day fishes and birds appeared
Animals and humans he made on the sixth day
He rested on the blessed seventh day
And saw that what he created was good
Oh! The charming creation story she told
Is the greatest story indeed!

The beauty of the vast array of hearts Pouring out exquisitely woven letters
To bring out what uniquely represents their thoughts
Overrides any attempt to put literary works on a competitive  plane

A high heel on the way
To the house colored white
Majestic steps to fill the space
A deliberate void orchestrated
She will occupy and rule
A black blood her stiletto

If at the end of all things
It is revealed that the existence God and the death of Christ is a fallacy
I will have no regrets having subscribed to holiness
For holiness is of a decent and fulfilling gain
But more fulfilling is the fact that our God lives and Christ indeed died on the cross for our sins

The baby orphan in the needy cradle
Be his hope like light on a candle
The woman vending in the wild sun
Don't steal her tired goods and run

The single dad toiling hard
He's already worn out don't make him mad
The friend in need of that helping hand
Be that hand and spin the magic wand

The family from which you come by blood
Don't spoil their name lest you get hit by a flood
The man in you, called by your name
Nurture him right to be the kindest fame

The place you call your very country
Do your best and make it a beloved territory
The brother from the other border nation
Be no racist, respect his notion

I have a good brain
A unique  one

Want to be a lot of things
Better, it makes me
Able to do a lot

I can't be all at once
But when I write
I am all I can

We stand in awe of China's great Wall
We are thrilled  by the Statue of Liberty
We stand amazed at the Pyramid of Giza
We are mesmerized by the Eiffel Tower
All awesome, thrilling,  amazing and mesmerising

If after imagining the miraculous growth of the foetus
Or the perfect mode of the human being
If you still look at the sun rise and fall
Or the supernatural breath of life
And still believe there is neither a  superpower involved
Nor a God to stand in awe of
