when hurt understandably to hurt back is probably a first reaction
but not always, and given time and experience within a regular prayerful life, hurt can be transformed into love.

Golden Eagles spiral upward

Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Goldfinch
-vie for food hung from branches
-The Man replenishes for pleasure.

assumptions

what a weight all past mistakes would be
added to the person hiding beneath all untruths
just to get a reaction and seem in control, seem in the know
seem to be not an uneducated fool.

get a more balanced view
be more inclusive

poor pumpkin

dreams dragged away from the night
flickering scenes already dreamt

-what is it trying to say? what is it all about?

each dawn uniquely sings
-displays its colours
harvesting the light.

Humankind easy slips into war
-it lives in every breast

-each mind made up of nonsense
-blood leading to blood.

thunder in the blood
lightening on the tongue
massed triggered fingers.

each breath a whistling hurricane
every spoken word a thunder clap
in your eyes forked lightening strike.

is it right to sing while others are being tortured and murdered?

I venture we sing for song sake
singing for those so cowed cannot sing for themselves
sing in defiance of oppression and oppressors
sing out against those who would have you controlled
sing because its your duty for the betterment of Mankind
sing that so those who are jailed for their belief or political choices
sing because that is the kind of world they hunger for.

every step a future triumph

the profoundness of simplicity
can be fathomed by the simple

weather holds within her folds an intelligence
also the dance of mankind for good or for ill
weather circles the world a complete organism
forever healing herself of industrial wounds
the weather does not shun a helping hand
indeed the hands of many hold her future-
battles she must face while maintaining integrity
being true to her reasons to be indispensable.

Sunup and across the skies

-a tiny flickering candleflame.

I never sleep at night
the dreamlands claim my mind

propel me head first into strange stories
at once familiar and unknown

sleep would be welcome
- a kind of forgetting

but it seems dreams are written down
and I must act them out.

we met along the road
both lost to times sweep

silently we danced in the winds
unaware of each others pains

music arrives on its own terms
the lyrics forged by experience

our hands almost entwined
as we looked deep into our souls

sparkled eyes in an ocean of stars
love has its reason for us to hold hands.

flower, one flower,
how gentle
how fleeting
how loved.
how needed

nudged from each perch by pressure of circumstance
the world a circus ball you balance on, or not,
yes its all a beautiful spiral Galaxy within Galaxy
as we spin around trying to hold hands, trying to hold...
the stage is set and reset and we get dressed for another day
