the roaring of stars
sound yet to reach our ears

-fires of the Universe
burning to death.

riding the cascading cusp
stars spilling across black

unstoppable blue spin
singing Happy New Year.

machines up till now never complained
Ah but soon if complaints are not met with satisfaction
- the machine may well take things and change them to suit their thinking.....  and pfff nothing will ever be the same again.

you never know if you will see prayer answered
but when you do-
the mystery of love has spoken.

pain is the reveal
-courage unknown
-quiet acceptance
-a precious gift
-a road to travel

being labelled with the worst symptoms by your doctor
does not really help, except it gives you a qualified permission
to be gentle and kind to yourself.

smothered in suffering
a skin and bone torture chamber

where muscle is a twisted oak
- the mind a hellish ride

until the offering up in union
is wrung from the depths of your soul

having a diagnosis can help the mind
even if in your heart of hearts you know it to be wrong

it changes nothing of your condition
but helps somewhat in your interaction with the world of man.

spirals weaved within the fabric of eternity
you can try shouting your way out
punching through to some other reality
some other place and time
be a hero everyone loves to hate
because you escaped
and every moment you stay free
they love to hate you all the more
because their spiral leaves no room
to be pleased for your success.

feeling more at home in the next world
sometimes my ghost hesitates
-and at one time will be gone.

wind swept beaches
empty of footfall

as the wind rises
casualties ride in on the tides

knitted together in the womb
all planets stars and moons
the universal mother
-gave birth to us all.

red is my colour
it picked me
before I was born

circling the sky fire
dimmed in black

waiting the melt-
the heated Earth

ice hard as diamond
will slowly drip away

musical bone instruments
a carved song

the howl of the Wolf

drumbeats, deer skin
a rattle of bear claw

feet in the dust
a fire dance

fangs of the Wolf.

where breath is the lone sound
you know your heart is beating
-the mantra
-a beacon, a herald,
-a fire in the dark
-a way home
-a journey
-a place apart.

riding the oceans
water into blood
salty tears in remembrance.

how to describe the ineffable
-the infinite wisdom of God?

when your lover
mind body and soul

takes on all your guilt and pain
that so you stand pure

looking through their eyes
'you are whiter than snow'

its a black and white movie
someone coloured with pastel

we caught each others eye
across decades of silence

we may decide to travel far together
but first we must dance

and when we finally accept
love is eternal

then we can forget all else
creating our own movie

skin arrest with touch of skin
nothing comes close

seaweed of all kinds
-all salt laden, give up their perfume.

wind is master of today
blowing off the Atlantic

she brings purity of breath
makes the Sycamores dance

all huddle in their nests
creatures one and all.

the look-out-tower
where crows feed

short daylight
skims the sea

darkness eats
us all for 4 o'clock tea.

wringing out experiences
-the bottom of all barrels

now a dried up river
-cut off from the sea..

eased into the day-suit
legs swinging for feet to take the strain

-you breathe your day-breath
and go at it one more time.

a day creeps into unwelcome eyes
-with stealth and promises
-winkled out of the night

one star in the East
peeking through cloud

so many miles away
-a love like no other.

steel blue, a racing tide
waters disappearing
over the horizon.

the wind is in the West
-the sycamores bounce
-elastic their survival.

the last day will be a last tomorrow
and yesterday will no longer be a memory.

stepping stones for words
across the waters you venture

into the beyond you disappear
to re-emerge the other-side of tomorrow.

all a sudden, the right gear engaged
you take off on your mystery tour.

dispirited, hanging your head

There is a God
and justice is one facet of eternal love.

our sister sings her siren songs
lapping at our earthen feet

a lover of days and star filled nights
she washes ashore two beats of her heart

-each wavelet filled with eons
and fish dancing in moonlight.

Sweet fruit from beyond sense
-yet sensed in your soul
a Divine touch of finesse
- more than any other experience
-this beyond all Earthly telling.

a ravaging Hoolie
- witches brew
claims the terrestrial

for night and day
we all here locked away
from her spell

madness and mayhem
what spark of mine
added to this hell.

cruelty, the worst of the worst
and crueller yet.. its enjoyment.

darkness is never very far
behind the night just gone

Winter Solstice
the longest darkest night of all.

a day of drizzle and mist
-a comfort blanket-
snuggled in.

on the road of suffering-
this where we meet

at times to forget our pains
at times to empathize

sometimes our suffering gains new insight
sometimes, maybe often, we see others suffering so much more than ours.

journey taken with mystery wrapped
a poet sings on the plains of forgetfulness

dreams fill void on void on void
while a hand holds tight to love

many steps to travel and travel some more
sometimes to stumble sometimes to run

time returns to eternal love
as you sit and see the poetry in your hands.
