'SQUARK' atop the roof
this is their valley.
all scraps belong to them.

Love bade me 'trust in my word'
'Come away with me to a deserted place-
and I will speak to your heart'.

solitude in constant bloom
flowers dripping from boughs
-fruit succulent swelled sweetness
the oasis within Winters chill.

adopted by love
loved from all eternity
lavished children

tapping on Heavens door
waiting with Angels
We sing another carol...

small but never inconsequential
the deeper you go

all the more does it make sense
and feed your longing

carapace dream-space
a silent echo.

sinew and bone
putting together
hearts longing

she spun her tales
as she spun her silk
-net to capture the unwary

riddles and mystery
dreams in daytime
stored night-watch.

Music of the dark
shore dwellers

Geese flown in
for Winter.

shortened breath iced with cold space
spun away from the Sun
darkness spangled deathly beauty.

Earth-time a gloved friend
counts down rhythmically
fleshy decades on fingers

Guardian Angel watches through nights
knowing each day dawning
brings all to new times

Guardian Angel knows by supplication
you know that they watch
and you are their special charge

Guardian Angels, bringers of love
even more so the more you fall
will never let you be alone.

stalked always
a mind universe

Aliens dressed as Human
trying to buy you a drink

smiles beaming unnatural
white teeth about to crumble

a band playing acid tunes
dancers on their knees

someone offers a smoke
but you gave it up long ago

the mind of a creature
not too sure of its reality.

a star heart
igniting

an eternal shout-

baby exposed
a Mothers travail

planets colliding
moons falling

skin soft
new beginning.

I kissed the wind
when no-one saw

We made love
now we are one

I sleep in a bed of straw
the wind holds me tight

She tells me tales
of travelling the World

We make each other our promises
to always be true

When morning comes
we will depart.

the winter gales
fearsome marauders
carry off all that is not tied down.

there are songs and songsters
but all slowly
- coming together in tune
under the one conductor.

joined at the rib
cast onto the ocean

we see each other
within the waves

hands held out
sister and brother.

do not mind being nothing
for it is exactly where love will find you

serenade of Sparrows
sonnets of love
taught of Angels.

river of words
pictures of mystery

snapshots of Heaven
reach of Angels

pull of love
silence of acceptance.

blue sky forever above the cloud
-a hidden kingdom
the cloud of unknowing
a constant companion.

no Human voice meets with ears
no hearing of words for days
heart silent as the grave
a time of watching and waiting
before the great reaping.

set free to wander the realms of poetry
the great plan written in blood.

time tips all out of bed
demanding attention

having watched through the night
waiting the first stirring.

invigorating bordering freezing
cells jumping hurdles
-the mingling of Wintertime
with snow white bones.

The taking of advise
becoming whole
within the great spiral.

water washed running waterfall
a child of the ocean

splashed droplets clear as ice
a meeting of purity

soft whisper of truth
a mixing of chemicals.

to travel further than our small Island
-a ferry journey

to make it to main land Scotland
-another ferry

most of us
stay at home.

kisses are deeply universal
ancient as lips
some kisses are full of love
but some full of betrayal.

rocky path, stumble often.
grazed knees, bruised ego?

a lonely belief
unable to share

a road taken
because you must

misunderstood
par for the course.

Wind finds us often-
visits for days

The wind is a friend-
finding passage

We do hunker down-
and tie all down

But the wind if too absent
we miss like a leg, or hand.

At night, here, this small isle,
we ride the Milky Way
Star struck across the Sea.

Deep tide rolling the shore
Seaweed perfume salt-laden
A Moon lights our way.

deep in time
in mind

hearts beat
their song

on lips
singing

Alleluia!
Alleluia!

who can ignore pain?
some intentionally inflict?
other times ignorant of the fact?

what is the answer to pain?
the pain I have caused?
the pain I feel?

I pray for those who have caused my pain
and I pray for those I have pained.

grant the validation of mystery
-let truth be your voice
-your voice touch souls
-souls freedom of their mystery.

are despots and bullies formed in the womb
safely one could say 'in part yes'

and even more so 'when born and educated',
directly and passively that is.

spirit breathed words
spirit enshrined
to set free a heart
-a mind
a sister
brother
humankind

embodying something, always,
often a mish mash

a confusion of ideas, ideal
sometimes unconditional

love?

vocabs are passed on
sounds and symbols
a shared enlightenment.

poetry....who dare define it?
who holds the standard?

is it not those that write poetry
in any and all of their unique forms?

on our Island roads there are no markings
no traffic lights, no stop signs
hardly any pavement,
yet, collisions, are vanishingly rare.

I exchanged all I had
and like Jack, came away with a few beans in hand

those beans now planted (magically)
grew so much more than I could ever have wished,

harvesting from a gigantic stalk.
