Painting on my Wall
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
I always had this painting on my wall,
And I answer to each of her call,
That I should move her across the hall,
To a private room quiet and small,
So she could tell me her stories and bawl,
Because her past is something to appall,
A girl promised by a lover to give her all,
Now a forgotten promise only she recall.

Will Your Hear Me Out?
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Will you hear me out?

Sometimes I have a doubt
That my time is running out
Wishing that I could shout
This feelings.

I want you to know
That my love will forever grow
I just don't know how to show
This affection.

Now I 'm asking for a chance
Even just join you in a dance
In a whirlpool of love and romace
Just to hold your hands.

So will you hear me out?
Or just stay their and pout?
I want to hear it from your mouth
The answer.

No Boundaries
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
I dream of a future
where love has no boundaries,
With no line to divide us
only you and me solely,
I won't hate you about your past
but will love you at your present,
Cause my love will know no boundaries
as long you are in it.

Invisible
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Even a single spark
Would light up the dark
Of my endless nights,
Along this road of oblivion
Where doubt clouds my vision
Searching for that bright light,
Wishing someone finds me
Is the one and only plea
Of an invisible man in this society.

Love like a Hike
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Love is like a mountain trek,
You walk long distances,
Grab something to hold on,
Climbing on perilous routes,
Or do anything to move on,
You risk your life on the journey,
And get tired of the climb,
Once you make your way to the top,
You will never regret it,
Because at the peak;
A beauty beyond compare
A feeling so strong
A joy never ending,
Yet you can never stay at the top,
But you can still go back again,
Until next time.

Unconditional
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Why do i like you?
Why is it so much?
Why everytime your hurt I'm angry?
Why is it I feel disappointed?
I won't give you up,
Until you become we,
Until You become happy,
Until then I won't rest my case.

Unspoken Feelings
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Time pass
Feelings change
I didn't want to speak her name.
Move on
Heart drawn
Want to see her no more.
Lose faith
Won't take
Any chance anymore.
Saw her
Too late
Love her more each day.

Viva
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Crowded streets,
Marching bands playing beats,
Marching with matching *****,
Is a memory I would never lose.

Favorite song
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Drums beat
Body heat
A surreal experience.
Favorite song
Played long
A unforgettable experience.
Last thing
It was Sting
Who sang and composed it.

Waking up
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
I just woke from a deep slumber
in a room quite a mess,
Thinking where could be that lover
whom gave me a fine sweet kiss,
Did she climb the highest tower
so she can finally confesss?
Or am I just a lonely dreamer
whom life is amiss?

Dying Rose
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
A silver light pierces
the quiet room,
A room of love
where a rose bloom,
Inside a glass
contained to doom,
Waiting for death
which is coming soon.
Yet an ember
approaced the rose,
Leaving traces of smoke
as it drew close,
Burned through glass
like nothing can oppose,
Giving air of hope
to the dying beautiful rose.

I Was Never A Poet
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
I was never poet until I met you,
Met you in that night with a beautiful view,
Talked for hours and hours,
Until the light has devoured the darkness.

Then I started to feel something,
Something that's been upwelling,
I don't understand the meaning,
Of this lingering hot feeling in my chest.

So I started writing poems for you,
Or else my heart will feel blue,
Cause writing for you,
Is the only thing that I could  do.

So i was never really poet,
I prefer singing with you in a duet,
But I know that I can never do it,
So I ended being this poem's poet.

The Madman
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
A madman,
Doomed from the start,
Only hears the tearing heart.

A madman,
Begs for love,
Yet lightning strikes from above.

A madman,
Craved only one thing,
To become someone's something.

A madman,
Walks in rain for you,
Just so your nights won't turn blue.

A madman,
Said I love you,
But there's nothing you can do.

The madman,
Asks for a chance,
And yes, the mad man is me.

A Confession
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
I was giving her my heart,
Yet she shove me away,

Left me hanging breathless,
In the middle of the day.

If I could clobber my own shadow,
I'll do whatever she says,

Please just let me in,
I'll take all your dismay.

Is it a Love Song?
Niel John Ortizo Jan 2016
Is it a love song?
Or is it just me thinking about you?
Well, I guess this one is a sad song,
Cause I'm crying all over the place for you.
But it does sound like a classic,
Because of the this stupid cliches that I do.
If I have done everything you asked,
I won't be here dying for you.
Oh how I wished it was just all a love song,
Cause I will forever sing it for you.

Cognac's Effect
Niel John Ortizo Dec 2015
To my eyes laid bare,
A hue beyond compare,
In a bottle.

Took a glass and opened,
Left me with words unspoken,
Such aroma.

One sip and it revealed,
Various flavors it concealed,
A cognac.

I should have stop to heed,
Before the drink do the deed,
Too late.

Now I'm here thinking of you,
An empty bottle kept me through,
So wasted.

Drunk Romantic's Poem
Niel John Ortizo Dec 2015
I am all messed up,
All I can do now is fill my cup with *****,
Cause I'm afraid that I would lose,
The one I love.

Call me hopeless romantic,
Or an idiot for short,
Cause I'll do any sort,
If you want me too.

Oh, Isn't it ironic,
I promised her a world of happiness,
Yet here I am sitting in nothingness,
Because of that love.

I just love her so much,
Every second, minute, hour I think of her,
That using this hand to pull the trigger,
My last option.

Yes, I love her so much,
I'll pull this trigger for her,
End my life for her,
Send her my farewell.
Sorry for the crude poem.

Unfinished Symphony
Niel John Ortizo Dec 2015
Everything about her is a song,
              Her breathe, my music,
              Her laugh, my melody,
              Her heart, I missed.
She is a symphony, a beautiful one,
             But not without the beat,
             Not without her heartbeat,
This song will never be complete.
Love shook her hard to ground,
             Broke her heart to pieces,
             Tried to pick it up,
             She shove me away.
It seems to her that everything was wrong,
             Shut herself from the world,
             Feared to love,
             Afraid to get hurt.
So she remains an unfinished symphony,
             With her breathe as music,
             Laughters as melody,
             Heart beat, forgotten.

Martyr's Horizon
Niel John Ortizo Dec 2015
She, a beauty with no compare,
Dances endlessly in the air,
Caught my heart with no warning.
I, a smudge in the history,
Contained no beauty,
Sing songs only for her.

She, a reincarnation of the sky,
So blue and marvelous,
Would not dare to look down.
For I, a monster from the dirt,
Would only taint her beauty,
So I returned to the earth.

Now she was all alone,
No I to taint her,
This all I did to protect.
Because she and I will never be,
Like the sky and earth you always see,
Never met in the horizon.

— The End —
