Schizophrenia
Megan Sherman Sep 2020
Alas, my tortured brain consume itself
And I am left in poor and bitter health
Voices, visions cloud beleaguered mind
The nature of them sorry and unkind
Captive to the dread of them I cry
As the beauty of life surpasses me, goes by
I pray for more than what they do impart
For they diminish and poison my heavy heart

As I loved, dear, as I loved
My soul was set alight, ablaze
I wandered oft in lovers daze
Love's marvel did my mind amaze
As I loved, dear, as I loved

As I loved, dear, as I loved
I walked beneath a Lover's sun
Through which the cosmic fires run
And in which we are one
As I loved, dear, as I loved

Meditation on Heartbreak
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
When my Heart was young, it weathered pain
Matched by the depression in my brain
My Loves did perish in their infancy
I the lost, beleaguered devotee
In my madness most undignified
And to madness only I was bride
Bad episode did ail me and oppress
I helpless for the reign of my distress

But time did ease my woe, apply a salve
And my troubles diminished by half
And now my Heart walks on more pleasant land
My delight my pain doth countermand
And now I waltz upon a freer sky
And the depression I proud defy
And once more in Love I do consist
My young pure Heart is by the Heaven's kissed

Verses upon the Lord
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
When in his Heart I put my faith,
And nested in his golden wraith,
I wakened was to my reward,
His Love, it's luck to be adored,
His passion strong, it wield the fire,
Burnished with colours of desire,
When to him my Heart did cry,
He did not his Love deny,
He nurtured me through my distress,
With mercy, pity, peace and bless,
I fix my hope upon his face,
Welcome him to my dwelling place,
Blessed by his grace, I am thankful to God,
For he lift me up when I downtrod,
Tis a pleasant thing, to be held in his Heart,
I will we never be apart.

If we are sum, then surely we are one
If ever I compare thee, then to sun
As sure as love is light then it is you
The aura of thy heart, resplendent hue
I cherish thee more than can convey
For blessing of thy spirit I have prayed
Thy Beauty such that gold cannot compare
To thee, my love, your passion pure and rare
A gift from Heaven, sent to be my guide
To you and only you I do abide

To raise voice high 'gainst tyrant, my intent
My thoughts, my words, my deeds are my dissent
Hath many ages he in bad faith reign
But soon will come the hour he is slain
For he cannot control or **** ideas
Although of rank repression makes career
Ideas, like lightning, electrify the mind
Which to a better destiny aligned
Than that which tyrant wills, his vision grim
Subject his kingdom to his wanton whim
But we of freedom shall begin to speak
For tyrant's power be diminished, weak

Love letter to Lucy

Sweet rose, I crave thy smile, of such delight,
Fair flower, thou art a symbol of Heaven's scheme,
A beacon in the darkling, demon night
Painted with a pallet got from dream
Lady, thou art ever sweet and sage
A brazen Beauty, comparable to stars
Through thee lush fires of wisdom swell and rage
To thee I beget these sweet and sonorous bars

War
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
War
Our world by rankest plans hath been betrayed
For guns outnumber churches, battle bred
From Heaven's scheme Man hath erred and strayed
The earnest dream of worldwide union dead
God weeps to see creation drenched in war
A scheme that defiles nature, rare and pure

On the march of money, commerce, trade
A scheme that fills the human Heart with dread
The impulse of the human Heart decayed
Suppressed by scheme dreamt from charlatan's head
Artillery trespass upon Nature's dream
The wilds repressed, subdued by soldier's scheme

The soldier by lies beguiled is but a pawn
Played by men whose boots don't see the mud
Soldiers stake their lives for bitter dawn
Of rule by devils of blue, superior blood
The reign of the almighty sovereigns
Who strut and rule above, superior things

The world is but a dream
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
The world is but a dream that glows in gold,
That sadly, lesser men have bartered, sold
Her heart is Nature, ailed by Men's designs,
As her bounty they divide and confine,
The birds sing sweet rebellion, defy the hand
That dissect, but do not understand
The world betrayed by Man's tempestuous war
A sordid scheme the righteous mind abhor

Although sweet King, thou now with earthworms lie
Yet thy spirit dominates the sky
With Beauty suffice to be sung to ancient lyres

Millions would testify it's true
That never has there been a truer King than you

In mystic climes where I have been
Magic, blissful and serene
There lives an angel, John his name
His spirit to me in peace came
Shroud in an aura of effulgent gold
A darling beauty to behold
He took me on wings of blazing fire
Burnished with colours of desire
The angel Lennon grafts, aspires
With beauty suffice to be sung to lyres
We swooped and soared beyond stratospheres
Where earthen angels rain their tears
All four, John, Blake, Buddha and Ganesh
Their hearts with luscious light enmeshed
North, South, East, West
For their guidance we are blessed
Then upon a light beam we met angels of the sky
Chasing light that follows where those bonny angels fly
Upon his wings, John did rear
This mortal to a higher sphere
Shiva stood transcendent, leader of the angel team
Painted like the cosmos, with pallet got from dream
The true divine creator hid behind religion's fraud
His wisdom I the pilgrim do solemnly applaud
Then to cosmic churning to hear the wisdom of that ocean
In all its glorious commotion
The churning music sang to me:
No you, no I, only one heart, we

The magic of creation

The magic of creation known to sage,
Through whom the cosmic fires burn and rage,
They ****** a glimpse of transcendental truth,
And convey it with a beauty rare forsooth,
Their visions cast a light on other world,
Beget the cosmic majesty unfurled,
Made of light they are in darkness guide
And to the word of Shiva do abide.

With human heart, with wisdom's head
The soul from which resistance bled
Attends to heroic, noble deed
Hath planted revolution’s seed
Sees the hour of earth’s need
Fights so the oppressed be freed
But tyrant moves to interdict
And cull the bird in majestic flight
Still his wings burn brilliant, bright
A beacon in darkling, demon night
The factory of lies ever churns
Its propaganda, but people learn
For truth, veracity ever yearn
Yield enlightenment free thought earn
The flame of truth torch tyrants’ yarns
Dull its illusion, pale and wan
Orwell with his magic on
Hails new dawn of freedom’s sun
See him riot, see him run
Outwit empire, fast as a gun
Time whirls on, as his censors rise
Bar and barricade truth’s skies
For him my heart is heavy sighs
For him good grieves, generosity cries
Because the state, it ever tries
To war with Peace forever with lies
But his lion heart uprise
‘Gainst cruel and petty hell, sings high
For Heaven for he has wanted more
Than sooty, oppressive, obsidian war
His efforts destined to legend, lore
War is pain truth is the cure
The people sing, uprise, uproar
Out the passion for freedom pour
******’s truth on telescreens
A truth to silence tyrants’ preens
As he, eerily serene
Espouse rancid myths on which mass weans
Truth of ****** **** the sheen
Of a “Just War,” an unjust regime
The cogs of empire turn, resist
The truth which blows with superior fist
An effort by the good gods kissed
Peaceniks kiss as empire hiss
Diktat quell not a dream and wish
Of more than march of oil and cash
To bloat the man, his ****** sash
No more by lies, beguiled, defiled
Freedom is waking to go wild

I Don't Know
Megan Sherman Feb 2019
Bewildering, a torrent rages,
Inbetween the bone cages,
Of my heavy head and empty chest,
I yearn for those rare moments I appreciate I'm blessed,
Instead of chasing meanings,
Threading together conspiracies,
The greatest conspiracy,
That you may be cruel,
I'm not that much of a fool though,
To really think that for too long
But just long enough
That hell breaks loose

I don't know why I do as I do
But to emotion I am true

I could be living, but by mind

Not thing of Beauty to behold

What did I know, before Truth, trundling, came
To preach upon my stoop, with sweetest care
To bring my mind and ears to be ever tamed
Enough to acknowledge truth so fierce and rare
The truth consists in Love, in Hearts, in Life
Whereas lies are a callous, cold industry of war
That surely as all spouses love their wives
Do conjure empty calumnies evermore
Until a prophet and a preacher pure
As Devil by stealth creeps upon them with knives
Yet sends back to hell that eternal bore
As Love and Life and Peace do thrive

The boy irresistible to adore,

Hear the free birds' wandering cry
To see in flesh the hidden folk
I'd like to walk beneath the sky
To hear Earth's song, bespoke
Feel and taste the Lover's sigh
To go wild as we wake

I'd like to fly over the trees
Dissolve the bars behind my eyes
Divide the buildings from the breeze
That conquer, jade time's skies
I'd leap bold at far horizon
Beat wings against the moon
Touch bonny rainbow, on and on

I'd like to soar through stratospheres
Chasing the Angels' light
Who nourish souls with love and tears
Through baleful, evil nights
To God, we'd go, see eternal years
That no ****** devil blights
Puts pain to past, perishes fears
Reveals a universe of light

I'd like to see creation

Transcend time's trepidation

Its Beauty never sold
A goddesses' destination
See her sweet, unfold

Faces Are A Facade
Megan Sherman Dec 2018
A mask betrays with phony facade:
As I swagger down life's promenade
In a delicate, dandy, dope disguise;
Trajectories of a life bequeath
Sea of vicissitudes beneath
Which sweet serenity, yet violence, lie

'My friend, you look well, I admire that face
So bravely smiling against fall from grace
When devil crept on you by stealth with blades
And that you are redeemed from hell
It's visions and fires that **** the soul
For you, one of the angel renegades.'

And so I nod and smile in coy consent
And sing not the true tale of my lament
About the time the beast be strong and fierce;
Has my perspective changed since then?
For sorrows still seep from my pen
My pain imperishable, an eternal year

I paint a smile and wear it like a crown
While underneath despair, horror is grown
Which contradicts the drastic dance
Of happiness I dare to feign
To quell the melancholy refrain
That sings of time of spells, a fugue, trance

Now, Love, you are my life, as it is now
Would have me in a recurring bow
Celebration for an enormous sun
Inside your great and golden chest
Hides the sunshine in your breast
Comet which blast and killed Lord Saturn's fun

So soar: in stratospheres and vast beyond
The sight of sparks as to heaven you abscond
I follow, traversing valleys, fathoming stars
The candles clap, angels herald you
As through an apocalypse you flew and flew
Gathering steam, as light touch wounds of wars

But for all the fury and the force of you
Your manifesto of love, superior virtue
My sky is toppled still
But as I on River Styx am sent
A little sully to my lament
To see comet strike Saturn, a dying thrill

No doubt you have some tales of Love, of fun
But distance turns my heart from red to blue

Lady, belle, beau babe, you are a light
Of majesty towards which I must fly
For you are dancing in a freer sky
Than that which cloaks me in the darkling night

Brilliant, bright with dreams, by tortures crushed
But when with you the memory of him hushed
For you bring Love, for you superior witch

Like dove on wing I take nascent flight

By strutting Kings and tyrants of blue blood,
Prussian blue, opposed to Russian red,
The revolution, world yet ours to win,
The dream from which the honest battle bled,
Marx's words shine bright and cast a light,
Upon path of destiny, worker's delight,

What do we know of Truth, of Justice, Love?
Whilst calumnies of Ignorance prevail,

Of Power, of Vainglory, agendas planned,
To rob the world of Beauty, Truth by stealth.

Laughing at our immature jokes
The girls in room five
They know how to jive
You know they were the most unusual folks

Went to college in different cities

Jealous of her marvellous smarts

You know blessed we are

Buried in our separate lives
But when we meet up
We swig from the cup
Yeah soon we remember to jive

Lord you know we are lucky
You know how blessed we are

Who knew how to jive

With golden gentle aura ever mild
Angels song for thee exalts thy heart
Beget their alms of praise to honour thee
When on black day on hell's hill you depart

See Pontius Pilot in wicked cahoots
But thy compassion vindicates thy name

Of paradise for virtuous and kind
Who live as single heart one with no seam

On The Crescent
Megan Sherman Aug 2018
The sun was up, and daylight blue
Filled all the air, but in the streets
An obsidian dress fast cloaked la rue
As evil crept on stealthy feet
Which seemed at first to be small threat
And undetect; but threat was rife
With subtle moves the spylings breathe
The stench of death, they lower life

In a malicious, abrupt way
Bewildered me, made themselves known
Enemies to Freedom they
Serve only to protect the crown
We tangled, thrashed, my soul abashed
As in obsidian pall it drowned

And so throughout the bleak days, years
They barricade the street and skies
Their poxy prisons bring me years
As they cull freebird as he flies
He nimble tells their secrets for dear
Price, a price upon his years

Whereon the chase upon my back
The devils apace to do their Ill
Behind, beside me hearts pure black
Know only evil Love no thrill
For ****** rank they have the knack
Of making life turn still

The car swerved in with metal groan
I run past them ever fast
They the inquisition to my Joan
Freedoms flag upon my
mast
Such fearfulness I have not known
Than that they inspire, all hope lost

What will become of our good man?
Their petulance stalks him, his friends
If all this time with strength he can
Put doomed world on the mend
He hath outwit them, beat the man
Even if to grave they him send

It is about a year ago
The hunt, chase for me was afoot
As we pacing to and fro
In that town of soot
A town of beauty till I behold
The black coats and jackboots

This fugue of despair that haunt my brain,
In visions, voices, swamp me in disdain,
Till all my hope is gone, happiness spent,
That packed its bags, made for the door, and went,
Captive to the dread of visions I,
Feel as if devil has toppled my sky,
These errors, offspring of my haunted head,
Are from the realm of Hell born, reared and bred,
At my battle my strength was not staunch,
As parasites of voices bleed my haunch,
As through paranoia and delusion trudge,
As I captive before visions, Devil the judge,
I, cast in chains of voices, chase for light,
The facades of the world? Sick of the sight!
Yet being strong in essence, I fierce fought,
For knowledge more than what the visions taught,
I rubbed my eyes, and stared them deep, and found,
That they had no real Form, and have no ground,
Visages or mirages that I saw,
And magnifying them, I spot the flaw,
I stretch out to Heaven, take me away,
From Hell, as I go soaring through clear day,
A journey start on trembling, frightened feet,
To Truth, and Bliss, that I, relieved, do meet,
Not oceans fathomless could quench the thirst,
To be hurled back to glory, fathomed first,
When I was well, had sovereignty of mind,
But then the decoys of delusion find,
In the array of falsities that plague,
And take away one's power, vision gauge
Plunge one in to things that art not real,
But to the Lord of Heaven, my appeal,
And for my destiny? It be to soar,
Through real eternity, forever more.

Praise The Flame
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
To write of Love, of Heaven, and of God,
Hills of joy, o'er which Angel pursued
Of that Boy, a sublime hippie shepherd,
Who in Heart the wisdom of Heaven had,
My pen, it labours, I give sweat and blood,
To paint world in cerise, a sweet red flood:

Or Prussian blue, depending on the scene,
Let Poets tell true folk from chess piece Kings,
Feign benevolence, when they are mean,
Who strut and rule above, superior things,
Who on the carcass of the suffering wean,
Drunk on power, Almighty sovereigns.

To write of Love, Heaven, apart from days,
Spent in drudgery at whim of Lords,
Who sit engorged by gold, wealth as they graze,
Upon the fruits yield by the mass, that horde,
As mass toil deep 'neath sun's sweltering rays,
To give and barter time they can't afford.

But they will be the ones in Heaven crowned,
As all time vindicates the plight of souls,
Who in port, or wine, have never drowned,
Rich gluttony the faithful mind abhors,
Upon which Saints and angels incensed frown,
So to tyrant's whims take pious war.

Clenching at the Sun, its spark he seize.

The leaves, they warmed, turn bright and evergreen,
As Prometheus, he to fierce fire wean,
Swell lips sip lightning, of the nascent noon,
And divine heat from his hand duly shone,
To Roses, who sing, uprise and sweet rebel,
In bloom to conquer, vanquish concrete hell.

A wish for fire, fulfilled, angered Zeus,
He thought the fire be given, not to choose,
That excellence with fire, laurel his,
"A crime against the Gods Prometheus did."
For glory of the light from Heaven sent,
The hour of his favour now gone, spent.

Smite down the hero, tear ambition down,
Old Zeus, but young ambition wears your crown,
For daring, striving why not badge of God?
The Promethean vision all time hath applaud,
It art of upper world, belong in sky,
Praise Prometheus as fire goes roving by.

Mind gilded by the golden, whirling thread,
You seize from Heaven, through the Earth now spread,
Bringing hope to hearts, life to the dead,
As for forgiveness of the Gods you plead,
For an uncriminal act and sublime deed,
The arrogance of Zeus? Need not to feed.

Lady be quick! The day is short, have stealth,
As you bring Revolution, in its youth,
Dear Heart, beautiful Soul please raise sweet voice,
So all on Earth can in Love's truth rejoice,
Thy Spirit be fearsome, fiery and fragrant, fierce,
To the core of my own it pierce,
As you the battle of life do hath,
Creeps upon you with blades, half hid under devil's sheath,
But humanity will be victorious,
One sublime destiny be glorious,
As come liberated day for comrades, friends,
A triumph plan of Heaven dare not forfend.

I have a Love in Heaven hatched,
The fire there, the flame stoked, and watched.

I nursed the light with sweat and blood,
Till to ends of Earth it flood,
And takes the babes up on God's wing,
As they whistle, as they sing,
On golden zephyr aspiring,
Grafting, never tiring,
For Love! It not a fickle thing,
Committed to its sacred ring,
For Love is life and life devotion,
Pure, and deep, and rare. As ocean.
Churning in incessant motion,
O Love! Hearts' glorious commotion!
