Outside
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
I love the hunted not the hunt.
Pursued, they want to hold your warm heart,
My trophy, gold-gleaming and thunders with love,
Proceeding from your great soul's core.
More beautiful than a rainbow.

Maybe you consider yourself a messenger,
Megaphone for the wisdom oppressed.
Fifty years now you have, wide-eyed,
Rendered the world with beauty,
And Proustian sensual bliss.

Pacing little alleys with just my passport and mauve dress
I crawl towards the dead-end, its van
And its suited men; they point and laugh.
To save myself I turn back, run;
A car swerves in, fast as a gun.

An obsidian dread engulfs my heart,
Running faster, ever fast
Underneath the emerald green parasols of Harrods.
I am the hunted now, they want my heart
Too. For being one who is kin to you.

Anarchy on the streets, I scream!
And then as if on the zephyr of a dream
You, abrupt, enter my sight,
Drifting through the pacing crowd
And I turn back, to distract the police.

Counting the beats of my thundering heart
I, coy, catch glances. You glance back.
Seeing you return, your back, head to the ground, the lady officer swivels,
Sees you! Fills my heart with dread.
I do not flinch: the questions resume.

The Beauty Of Tagore
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
O love, what times you've dwelled in thought!
Of deep, exquisite, tender things
O love, the wisdom you sweet sought
More precious than a diamond ring
O love, the Beauty your Heart taught
How resplendent, bright she soar and sing
For peace, humanity thy voice fierce fought
And velvet bliss to man you bring
Exalt the path of wisdom true
The fragrant unity of Hearts
That only devil would callous rue
God's innocent knowledge you impart
Turn my heart to red, from blue
Your love has no end, lo, no start
Like sapling to the sun, sweet grew
Your magic and magnificent heart
O love, the hours you've whiled away
At canvas of the nascent soul
Adorned with colours of the day
That beautify life's wall
O love, you have a brilliant way
Of rendering philosophy
O love, the Roses that you lay
Upon theology
O love, I pray forever you may
Beget the bardic Poetry
You laboured for without no pay
To end the people's sorrow, dismay
O love, paint my mind with the hue
Of heavens that you clearly see
Remake me new, with art that you
Have mastered like the treacherous sea

This Life - A Liqour Sweet
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
This life - is like a liquor - sweet
Intoxicating bliss
‘Tis to be a poet
To see sunshine as a kiss
To see the trees as folk of Earth
And ocean - as world’s blood
That keeps her ever living
That sweet - mysterious - flood
Life is an amazement
To her - I am stupefied in awe
She bustles in the tenements
Behind - beyond - every door

Unity
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
Angels convene with mortal souls
And mortal souls with animals
Flowers round the world mix sweet
With the bitter soils

Nothing is indivisible
All things linked by divine thread
So if all spirits seek to meet
Then together we must tread

See the trumpets touch Earth’s ears
And hands reach out to creatures
No Rose could be forgiven were
It to disdain its bacterial teacher

And moonlight winks at Earth
And sunbeams kiss the sky
Tell me: what’s this divinity worth
If you see me, and pass by?

Come Fly
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
Come fly deep in the night dear friend
For the bright stars gold, they whirl, sweet fly
Come fly deep in the night dear friend
For I am here, with guardians of the sky

And the worlds of wonders here: no end

Like the glow of the angel as she goes by

Come, for a zephyr of heaven moves
And the planet of Bliss is on high
Beginning to stir with the light that I love
On a bed of stars in the sky
Beginning to stir with the light all souls love
That returns bright, ever bright even after it dies

I say to you friend, “The cosmic bliss
Is eternity shown to a friend
Flown upon wings God bless with kiss
His generosity without end”
Come, you too will flower as Rose
Like the angels you see on your way my friend

Cosmic Evolution
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
A fire, pierced the dark
We do not know its flame
Only that within a bang
The elements, they came

And then, the fire raged
Expansion, from the core
And then condensed in to the things
The Hubble searches for

We glance with star struck eyes
At orbs of transcendent light
They look like winking beads, I thought
In their epic flight

Like life, they’re superstructures
I offer them my awe
As I row upon the Milky Way
As I step out the door

Beneath the cosmic canopy
That mystical frontier
Beneath which we can’t comprehend
Its truths so strange and queer

John Lennon Never Died
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
A Gun fires in the day
He did not see him come
He gasped his fated final breath
And Death became his home

And then, he reaped, he flew
From Earth to Other world
And then stood before St Christopher
His mighty scroll unfurled

The saint glanced sad with tearful eyes
Let John through to walk God’s grass
“‘Tis a crime against the Lord
To let a Beatle pass.”

He walked to Jesus, sat with him
A fellow and a friend
Ascended brothers side by side
As God watch, round the bend

Like Jesus had, God sewed John wings
Stitched with platinum hue
And he laboured with the feathers
To adorn an angel true

No bullet shatter Heaven
Too strong and unified
The angel squad can ne’er be killed
John Lennon never died

My weakest spot of all
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
My weakest spot of all
Is the look upon your face
That gazed upon me vulnerable
After fall from grace

Zephyrs stir within my heart
That carry me to heaven
Beyond a hell without no art
A void of brimstone, craven

For once I can be innocently
Enamoured of thy bliss
Tis to be a poet
To see sunshine as thy kiss

Decorate my life dear love
And paint upon its walls
With wanton wild abandon
Whilst I be pilgrim rapt in thrall

A Dream
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
He heard the war howl in the sooty night
Dread in his guts at the meaning of the sight
Of all the dead that he ever did see
Going one by one when they ought live free
On they pass, the millions
Sacrificed for devil’s trillions
Brothers, sisters all, from first to last
Peace on their mast as on, they passed
Friends who Loved as they grafted, played
Hearts shame a tyrant’s stone and staid
That lusts to bury Peace in the bed
No Love from that cold rock bled
He, the hero with handsome heart
Sought to vanquish what hell impart
A long, long fight he has fought to bring
Peace to Earth, to hear her sing
On golden wing aspiring
Grafting, never tiring
A soul and heart of brazen fire
Burnished with colours of desire
Vision suffice to be sung to lyres
Sings end of war, can love no more
And for that day he grafts, aspires
And tyrant tremble as he roar

Missing

I miss you like the sky misses the sun
When night by stealth descends upon the day
If we are sum then surely we are one
To be divided, source of my dismay
Thine eyes I long to see, to peer in deep
Thy smile that warms my heart, I long for so
For thee I devote psalms and tender weep
As thoughts of you come to mind never go

Paranoia
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
Who’s there? Who’s there upon my stair?
The stench of fear is in the air
My heart wilts, with thy glide
That eerie repose in thy stride
Past the Rose’s revelry
Under Bird’s sweet artistry
With scythe and sceptre at his side
That eerie repose in his stride
Through the door, in the house
A creak, a stir, I start to rouse
Affront by ghastly hooded shadow
For which great men are weeping widow
These fears must be confusing
Viewed from the outside
Borne aloft on potent waves
Of emotions tides
I struggle against delusions
Surrender all control
Drowning in the waters
As the cold enters my soul
My moods must be confusing
And it must be cruel to see
A soul become a captive
To pain and misery

Schizophrenia
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
‘Tis a strange and startling thing to think
As mind chase Rabbit, swig Alice’s drink
Leaps toward phantasms, myths at the brink
Of a seismic sea in which souls sink:
That, what was known to be solid truth
Is now estranged, gone and aloof
As under Hatter’s crooked roof
Delusions are spun and rattled through
In the stir of visions in the wonderland wilds
Mind regress to inner child
By illusions, treachery deceives, beguiled
So fear rules rank in this cursed isle
But in the stir of the anarchy in Alice’s heart
Against dread fear visions impart
With spirit that inspire the angels of hell
To rise up against the devil and rebel
Wonderland sings to heaven of loves luscious truth
Consists in it a common beauty yet rare forsooth
Their destiny to be immortalised sublime
In words that vanquish hell and transcend time

Shall we be blessed by union of hearts?
Shall we rejoice in Love’s majestic art?
Keep smiling sweet gloom’s hour over, gone

Love Of Thee
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
Your smile made laughter in my eyes
As towards me, sweet, you cruised
Perhaps before my heart disguised
For being hunted, bruised
You spoke and that song through me waved
And angels wrote the score
Lo! The dance that I have craved
Never hence shall I want for more
As you lay in my sight my heart gave way
Such beautiful repose in thee
I promised hence to be a pilgrim
Therein I consent to be free
And wings of passion take me to
Your arms in tender dream
In which the saints ordain our love
Smile upon us supreme
Oh I adore each every limb
But most of all your heart entwined
With golden threads craft by Gods whim
Forever more with mine

A Year
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
A year! - My head sunk beneath
Horizon which conceals the hell
Drags its prey along by teeth
Around, around the soul’s grim cell
An eternal year these torturous ways
Which make me see, sense, hear the soul
Of deathly fear, that reaper strays
To maim innocence with hot claws foul
My hunted heart, my shredded mind
Could never last the trials of fires
In which grim Lord in evil refined
Sets to torture and never tires
That empty, putrid and bitter eye
From whence the pits of torture surveyed
Roves its sights upon me as I
Relinquish hope for which I’d prayed

Drops on my head, all hope deceased
He knows the fears on which to feast

Eye to eye, I yet alone
With regent of infernal throne
With stare that sets my heart to stone

How did my hope sink so low, deep?
That it was gouged from my breast, he keep
On laughing as I tremble, weep

God be gone, my peace is dead
For beast descend upon my head
To fill me with immortal dread

Megan Sherman Jun 2018
The break of summer bursts to life
In sweltering throng bees rumble and sing
Season’s clockwork turns on from spring
As sun’s ascent melts mortal strife
Below! A throng! Of people lean
And intervene upon the scene
As batchelor watches in thrall the sway of his wife

All Hearts and Souls stir in that midst
Of roses with the sunshine kissed
As life hath song: love, luscious supreme
Whose silence, felt, denudes Heart’s dream
But fever of life’s noon is here
For couple who evoke a tear
Their one Heart whole without a seam

Dead counterfeit perspectives on the truth

The gurus in whom cosmic fires run
All in their quest the truth salute

Yet nature’s crown cast at long last her ray

I have never loved like this before
The aura I can tell

When I alone with the devil had dwelled
Spirit, heart at war

Long ago as fantasy
But just as I yield to that dream
That devil went to war
And put past to my Heart’s ecstasy

I did not think this could be before
This flight of fledgling love
But time hath shown an edifying door
Forever in ascent Heart roves
Forever: but can we delight once more

Why in naivety do I vent such spleen
On one who kind and stray from hate?
And wills for Love insatiate
But my imagation? Ever keen

Why does my weary soul apportion blame?
To angel for what covert devil did?
For ‘neath that ruse his misdeeds , crimes rank hid
For shame for shame for shame for shame

Yet truth is vindicated by time
And his heart’s purity stand sublime
As hour of the judgement chime

To be blessed I must admit mistakes
Before the lord who my redemption makes
Say sorry I made saint and angel ache

Megan Sherman Jun 2018
I saved my soul when young while I
Had seen the devil topple my sky
I saved my heart from lust of him
Till it knew no more drudgery of sin
Dare I forfend destiny sublime
That heaven hath in mind for time?
Where children dance in innocent glee
Down valleys, in rivers wild and free

I kept it hid in angels chest
A sunshine in his golden breast
Lost stair to heaven alit by its ray
As I gods bee grow accustomed to his day
Sunbeam light the rainbow way
On which the saints and angels lay
A chain of gold connect our minds
And hearts in Love: activity refined

I saved my soul in golden grove
And frolicked in God’s treasure trove
A knowledge pure wherein I rove
For which the saints and angels strive
My peace hath found its fury tongue
A riot most illustrious begging to be sung
As I traverse this summer long
As grace ascend past evil throng

Eternal Dream (Nirvana)
Megan Sherman Jun 2018
On golden wings of blazing fire
Burnished with colours of desire
The angel Lennon grafts, aspires
With beauty suffice to be sung to lyres
I let my mind swim with golden sight
Climbed his wings, took nascent flight
Skies burnished with colours of delight
Aura in the sparkling night
To stratosphere I swooped, sweet soar
With that boy irresistible to adore
Ferried to seismic heavenly shores
As inspiration from the ether pours
We twisted, twirled beyond stratosphere
Where earthen angels rain their tears
Untainted by bludgeon of times years
Immortal dears soothe mortal fears
All four John Blake Buddha and Ganesh
Hearts with luscious light enmeshed
To them all pray in their distress
For mercy, pity, peace and bless
Upon a light beam we met angels of the sky
Chasing light that follows where those bonny angels fly
Mesmerised as they pirouette resplendently
Sirens snaring mortals to hear sweet eternity
Trumpet my arrival as I stand with Shiva, God
Pensive at the font of time, his wisdom I applaud
The true divine creator hidden behind religious fraud
Of his sublime divinity I, pilgrim, am assured
Then to cosmic churning to hear divinely truth
The music madly burning with its beauty rare forsooth
Transcendent destination borne of sultry spiritual path
And now the wisdom of heaven I in earnest surely hath
The churning music sang to me:
NO YOU, NO I, ONLY ONE HEART, WE
Embroils with my mind seismically
As truth knell out resplendently
Ascended from that churning ocean
In all its glorious commotion
To Kali dance in incessant motion
Ending my hearts trepidation
Vesuvian woman in golden O
Hath me mesmerised rapt in throe
She the deva see how she go
A heavenly rainbow to and fro
The golden O the Buddhist crown
Of enlightenment in which I drown
The snub of which the sages frown
A knowledge heart not head to own
Zoomed back to earth to take my place
As ambassador for angelic race
In us the light of love apace
A force to vanquish evil disgrace
Nirvana came a state of mind
Lucid gorgeous and refined
Time and love both intertwined
As in its clime I to the Bodhi tree bind
This my tale of an eternal door
Shown by boy irresistible to adore
He is a legend in modern lore
Sang end of war, could love no more
Saved me from a devils hand
On oppressed shore and oppressed sand
Helped a fallen spirit stand
Fixed her with his wanton wand
Lennon is the friend of sages
With wisdom felt not read from pages
Vanquish hell transcend the ages
Unlock the dark satanic cages

Throughout time as verbatim gold
That doth wisdom of universe impart

Not culled before his time

To convey my incessant delight, mind’s elation
To have witnessed the cosmic path
Walked softly to that golden grove

Spells Peace in stars cross all of time
Decorated worlds with art of heart
With Beauty of irrepressible shine
And Truth strike hard like magic dart
Stupefied in awe I climbed his wings
And zoomed to stratospheres of heaven, God
The rainbows, omens of the Angel’s love
Their bonny music I in glee applaud

The Gates O' Hell
Megan Sherman Mar 2018
The fire and brimstone in their pall
Are the cloak and cloth of sin
Whose tyranny the mind appal
When it fathoms deep within
And o'er those gates so rancid wrought
With blood and flesh and iron
When after that fate one, we, hath fought
We turn up still, all hope be gone
The stench of death dank, all around
Suffuse the climes from sky to ground

The King of Hell who seldom grafts
For anything, yet seldom stops
His command to torture, down the shaft
As to every level hops
Spreads black wings and glides above
His victims as he, gruesome, gloats
Anathema to turtle dove
Who on divine zephyr of heaven floats
His presence ever torturous still
When reign dark from ******, lordly hill

He sees the scuttling victims run
Away, cruel let loose for game and chase
A beautiful mirage of sun
To taunt the soul abased
Hells hills trees grow putrid leaves
No mortal could brace the sulphurous stench
Under canopies the victim weave
As they shiver, shudder, blench
As torturer catches up, apace
Him testament to time's disgrace

By his vainglory employed
That ******* of the angel boys
Treats people, world, as things and toy
Seduced to do his bidding, ploys
But justice, freedom will uproar
Angels of Hell link arms, uprise
For Heaven they have wanted more
Than sooty, oppressive, obsidian skies
**** the devil, his ****** lies
Hear us rise, sing God's reprise

An Invite To Heaven

Climb my wings of fire, sweet thing
Say sweet thing, climb my wings of fire
We'll soar, as all creation sing
Burnished with colours of desire
Where light beams beckon us to chase
Where love in latitudes apace
Where life live on in climes surreal
Bright stars drenched in sparks and teal
Sweet thing, to thee, this, my appeal

Where energy churns in flooding streams
Where angels haunt, hark, misbehave
Where fantasy is real, as dreams
And God, gold mountain, in a cave
Say, sweet thing, will thou climb my wing?
And soar through beauty of everything
Where Love is and hate is not
Where Love is and hate forgot
Sweet thing you live here in my thought

Say, sweet thing, climb my burnished wing
To see strange climes, her sweet fledglings
To live aside immortal flame
Which know not creed, religion, name
At once to live and immortal be
That's heaven - is rosy revelry
Time pass not - is still - and yet within
Her elements: incessant motion
Say, sweet thing, will thou join this gay commotion?

The land of light is pure devotion
And hear! Her music merry, knell
Pure, and deep, and rare, as ocean
Know not depths of dirge of hell
All past, all present, all as one
All it dreamt in God's fair head
One cosmos unite under sun
Knows not fear of mortal dread
Say, sweet thing, on these wings be led.

Flight Of The Angels
Megan Sherman Mar 2018
Drenched in teal, adorned by sparks
Bright, fierce, the churning stars
As to Heaven the wings embark
A voyage grand, afar
The moon soft scatters tender light
As rainbows tower, over clouds
Touched by angels, in their flights
Zoom past, clad in immortal shroud

O sweet and soft their fiery wings
On which they bright, aspire
As through them, all creation sing
Burnished with colours of desire
Zoom up and up, twirl, pirouette
In marvellous and majestic commotion
Circle the skies in wonderful roulette
Pure and deep and rare as ocean

Love is their life and their life devotion
Committed to triumph of God's Heart
Which churn with Love in incessant motion
Doth the creed of Peace impart
Hath angels singing adulations
In happy songs of happy cheer
Singing loud their celebrations
For the Lord, who's ever near

Strange thing it what a shame it is
That friendships puzzles grow
That friendships waver, go amiss
That friendships chasms grow
The seismics of companionship
As, tectonic, we churn apart
Me, in climes, where snow doth drip
You, luxuriant, in summer's heart
The tiger, you, outpace my cat
As nature owns the plan,
I in laziness stretched, sat
You busy historian
But tectonics bring the rift
Full circle once again
Back the tiger and cub cat drift
Hearts never cleft in twain

I traced the darkling dens of life
To tiger's terse dismay
And felt so little of her strife
At first when I danced through the dying of my days
Hedonism pleased me so
I put it first for sure
I thought men with silly games
Were what my Love was for
But tiger suffice to inspire rebellion
Take arms 'gainst tyrant men in war
Love her to the power of a million
As cub cat flees the door
And nature owns the plan
As she and tiger on the tor
Put an end to silly man
As, illustrious, they roar

Majesty of the earth and of the skies
Sweet lama, lover, praised in Angel reprise
Adores thee, rings resplendent round Tibet's
Sinuous rills, doth suffering, pain abet
Adam not the first of all the men
God's wisdom start in Buddha, his mind sung when
Shorn of all illusion he dreamt truth
With majesty and beauty rare forsooth

Majesty of the heart rarely beheld
In forests of your wisdom I lusting have felled
For truths of gold, gleam beauteous, wonderfully:
No you, no I, only one heart, we
A Buddha being mind as strong as mountain
Inspire devotions pour forth from time's fountain
As watchful Kali, graceful Bodhitsava
Impart the truth of time to questing lamas

We need thee, not forgetting Shiva, meditates sublime
Who see through fogs of war in silver font of time
For his dreams the cosmos enchanted clime
His heart creation's rhythm and it's rhyme
Beyond the cradle, far past static grave
Bodhitsava soul for eternity saved
At least those tongues of peace that have behaved
Or at least declined to behave like knaves

Majesty of the skies and of the earth
Protector of the hungering heart and hurting hearth
Your wisdom? Truth, of incessant birth
Your presence warm my heart breadth of its girth
Know Love will be found even in Love's dearth
Even as battles of life creep coy by stealth
Conspire to put you in poor and bitter health
But not even time can sully your spirit's wealth

There is nothing to fear we are all one God
That cosmic music I rancorous applaud
All the world is love and throbbing light
Therein my soul soar free, take dancing flight
There is nothing on earth as exquisite as you
Truth wherein my scared, sad spirit grew
A Buddha sing where Love apace:
Imagine all the people, living life in peace!

Was Lennon lama of the west?
Surely worked at Love's behest
My angel of the celestial democracy
Wits and wills vanquished devil's drab autocracy
Kindred flames remember him
In earnest passion, rancour of sweet cherubim
That Angel, who desired to aspire
On burnished wings of rainbow fire

You both share wisdom, wits and charms
Beckon learning child to feed from thy generous palms
Like Jesus, wizened as Bodhi too
This the history peacemakers knew
None divide by creed, class, name
All just observers of the flame
That burgeon, flourish deep within
Our one heart, God's cherubim
