What is there left of Nature in the West?
The bricks enclose the Wild, the trees are caged,
Once raged fierce 'gainst sky by ruby blessed,
Splendour of her fire walls subdued,
The maps, the ships, the plan turn ever East,
Inaugurate the modern Pharaohs cruel,
Rejoice in the visage of fabled Beast,
Deceive the mass while usher in His rule.
