Subtle was that darling moon,
Crept like sunrise out of day,
As night swelled with resplendent tune,
As, sultry, sunlight snuck away,
As gold fled the horizon,
Usurped by obsidian black,
Moonlight rising, ever rise,
The Ace to sunlight's Jack.
