boy coils in the lawn
& early air.
grass touching him wet,
smoke crawls from his lips,

into the blue awoken,
or sky before his face.
there it dances like wild life lived
& falls away with breezy.

dearly herb to glossy reds,
he purses, thus to inhale.
sparked ember, spark clench, fist to fist.
life given to life encapsulated.

the sense of it goes steady,
goes patent cool.
he exhales, and looks to the south,
where his legs once were.

The Sprout and the Bean are genetically the same:
Born from the same mother plant,
Planted in the same mother Earth,
but one had rain,
and the other still waits for a rainier future.

7 minutes.**

I take 7 minutes each day:
To talk to you.
To admire you.
To fall a little bit harder.
To want you a little bit more.

I take 7 minutes each day:
To be jealous of her.
To be upset that you don't look at me like that,
that you don't hold me like that.
To die a little when's she's around.

There is 365 days in a normal year.
I take 2 555 minutes of that year to love you,
That's 153 300 seconds.
The best thing is ...
It's been 6 years.

But you're just the popular **** and I'm the shy Nerd.
You'll never see me more then a friend.

The air is smooth and warm,
the breeze wraps around you
and seems to fill you with a rare kind of contentedness;
specks of infinity freckle the navy sky
and the streetlights glow against the buildings,
like something you've seen in paintings;
her hand is small and a little sweaty against yours
but you wouldn't let go,
not even to grab something out of the nearer pants pocket;
the town is empty, asleep, quiet,
and the noise of your feet on the pavement is almost offensive
but it fills the silence between you,
that lies in the small gap between your arms;
she's so close,
you missed her
and you know she missed you
but you pretend not to notice the way she keeps turning to look at you,
and you suppress the smile that surfaces each time you catch her eye
until you find yourselves in the alley,
away from the lights
and while pressed up against that wall,
pulling her closer and tasting every sweet thing she's said
and every laugh she's chased your jokes with
you pretend to understand
the complex perfection
of the simplicity and beauty
that is a summer night.

As if the Sun could not warm me
with it's endlessly finite rays
you reach out and wrap me
in balmy, blissful days

And for the first time
my everything is enough
and it's okay that I'm not and never will be
that kind of tough

But, again with the fear
of abruptly finding the end
and discovering the journey
was all just pretend

The million little things
that you so effortlessly do
are barely enough
to let myself love you

But that's not your fault
and nor should it be;
when it comes to laying blame
it all falls on me

So please excuse me
while I fight with myself
and know that I'm finally dusting things
on that old neglected shelf

Just know
That I believe in peace
even if it's in pieces
and I think that we
are pretty good at puzzles
Not a sad thing, just a realization.
Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again

Lots of drugs
a little drinking
lots of fights
not too much thinking

Lots of ink
a couple of scars
too many night clubs
too many bars

Lots of ***
not too much caring
lots of taking
not much sharing

Years of abuse
and selfish action
avoiding the truth
by means of distraction

Beware of this life
it's not all it seems
you block out the nightmares
by killing your dreams

Went to my ancestor's home on a Spring season that year..
On a Holi day in the land of Chanchadari
A peaceful morning in Hoshiarpur, the doors to Himalaya
Happy Holli day!! The kids shout with cheer
Holi Hai! Holi Hai! Lets play Holi!!!

He woke up early morning that day..
With a bucket of colored water waiting for me
I stepped outside my grandpa's door
In a split second I was soaked in a coloured water…
From head to toes… red, orange, yellow, purple… the colors of Holi…
Ohh It's a Hoi Hai day alright…
Lets play Holi … Lets play Holi..

Hails spring with ecstasy and joy!
The trees smile with their sprout
of tender leaves and blooming flowers,
The land of beauty and greatness,
India, witnessing color of happiness and peace.
Nation come alive to enjoy the spirit
A celebration of color- Holi!
An experience of content, harmony and delight.

Holi colors of red, green, yellow and countless.
A day's canvas - a riot of colors.
Lively crowd running, dancing, playing
Rainbow of colors, Lets play Holi and splish and splash!!
Lets play with the frenzy colors .. play on Holi Hai day….

I am dreaming of playing with colors with you
It is the Holi celebration after all.
I can't play inside my home, the carpets will get tainted,
I cant' play it in the yard, the grass and outer walls will get painted.
I thought I would go to the secret garden of ours,
and play with you Holi hai day …
It's a colourful day just you and me..
In love on Holi Hai day…. Lets play Holi..
A poem about Holi festival of colors I dedicated to friends and relatives in unique India.

An ocean vast, a sky that's blue,
rays of light illuminating you.
I would sit at the rock and drink you in,
one feature at a time.

I am not a mime,
so I give up from the start,
trying to figure out and say...
I'll just be still and lay,
watching you.

Your face, your skin, your freckles three...
Boy that was something to see.
It begins
With one breath
And ends
With one hundred
One hundred hearts
Beating as one
Thunder in our blood
Lightning in our lungs
Notes fell like rain
Down
    Down
        Down
Onto our parched and thirsty tongues

Feast your ears
Close your eyes
And let bass notes hum through you
As the sopranos soar above
Let the altos
Catch your heart and squeeze
Just a little
Just a little
As the tenors serenade you

Come and join us, friend,
Come and dance with us!
Drink with us
Of Melody
And be quenched
By Harmony
Let your heart be freed
Fly high, oh soul!
Soak up our joy, friend,
Let us lift you up and then
Gently
So gently
Set you down
With a whisper
With a prayer

With one breath
One hundred souls
S i g h
And, so, they sleep
To wait for the rain
To come again
