demure isn't she
quiet as can be
maybe you can't see
but one day she'll shine so bright
it'll burn to even think of her
why engage
in confrontation
when it will
do me no good
i'll burn that bridge
when i get to it
for now i'll just
avoid that neck of the woods
crazy
we used to be like peas in a pod
crazier
you're not even gone
i see you every week
interact with you like nothing
insane
to remember when you used to say you loved me
stupid
to think about what it was that did us in
remembering waiting for you to deal the next trauma
shaking with suspense
know you're not a bad person
just took advantage of my free trust
nauseous with memories
glad there is no more us
this is it
what can i do
you stare at me
i stare at you
you look to me
for security
like i can make up
for your lack of maturity
like i can be
the adult in your life
how am i to micromanage yours
when i can't handle mine
slow dancing to music you can't hear
stumbling in the middle of the street
everyone sees the car coming
yet there is no warning, not a peep
maybe they didn't want to interrupt me
when i'd finally found some peace
perhaps they just decided
they were done saving me
handle with care
fragile written all over the package
you sign for it and close the door
then you start kicking it and you throw it on the floor
everyone's asking what that box did to you
I walked with you,

feet stomping through muddy ground
stepping over fallen branches
that we forged into shapes

out of the bluebells
I heard your voice say

this is a moment
treasure it
He is there but nobody sees him
He speaks but no one can hear
He lives his life in confinement
And no one ever comes near.
To watch him He looks rather lonely
He is lost that is perfectly clear.
Once a child in the arms of his mother
And his father would always be near.
But parants don't last forever
And soon they are no longer here
Now there  is nobody out there
To chase away all of his fears.
He walks to his flat he has no one
Loneliness his only friend
Is this what he really lives for
With nothing to show at the end.
Let's start from the very beginning
It happens in this day and age
Take note of this lonely stranger
Invisible in so many ways.
Watched a documentary a couple of years ago about the amount
Of people who live on their own it was amassing. Although this poem
Is a true case of a man who really was let down by the people around
Him saddly he was like being invisible  in the eyes of the world.
He just didn't fit in with others .
