Kindness
Leah Reese Mar 2015
Kindness is like a match
The way of the world
The winds of change
The darkness in all of us
Can turn that flickering light
Into nothing

But if we give it more
Feed it with love
And build it with care
And take that match
To fuel the fires of the world
We will all
Become something.

Beauty in you and me
Leah Reese Mar 2015
This is my body
It is like others
It is unlike others
But it is mine
And I know
I will worship it
Like a goddess
Has graced me

You have your body
It is not like mine
It is like mine
But it is yours
I will worship it
Like a goddess
Has graced you

For Faith
Leah Reese May 2015
Hospital beds where I dreamed of you
"Demolition Lovers" plays in my mind
A gentle kiss, a simple hug
All in a room of suicide

We are reaching for each other
Reaching for the stars
I've noticed all your flaws
I've noticed all your scars

And yet I do not hate you
If anything, the opposite
You are like the words
said by traveling prophet.
