I always felt sorry for poor Eddie Yooper
who was bullied, and teased by mean Tommy Cooper
our school bus would bump up to his road
to a house that looked incredibly shabby n' old
Nine brothers, and sisters --
I think there were even more
they had goats walking in n' out a missing front door
and, little Eddie Yooper couldn't help that he was poor
One day I stood up to mean Tommy Cooper
That's when I yelled,
Knock it off - this has to end!
Eddie Yooper is cool, and he is my friend!
Now we're all grown up, and I'm happy to say
that all through the years --
he is my best friend to this day.

I call out your name from another room
but your mind is trapped inside the color blue
I want to pull you out of shattered glass --
from all that haunts you in your past
you are here but you're still there
where bombs, and blood are everywhere --
lost in the color blue while you're
wandering from room to room
you are trapped inside the color blue
I keep searching for an open door
to tell you that you're home from war
you are here but you're still there
trapped inside the color blue
but, I keep searching from room to room
forever, and ever until I've found you.

If
If I could be a color I would be a crimson red
painting hearts with my quill feathers
while dancing playfully around your bed.

If I could be an angel in your dreams
I would float you gently on my cloud
softly rocking you with my wings
so that you know you're safe, and sound.

If I could be a song of love
I would sing it just for you
I would sing it every day --
so that you know I love you too.
