just like some of you,
I was born insecure.
Born flawed.
Born covered of unaccepted imperfections.
but hey,
there’s a good news
I was born where life is a series of choices
and i’ve given a choice
to love my own skin, my own self.
I have a choice to accept what i am
and be not like someone else.

*- j.a.g
love yourself. :)

Mad
I am mad
Mostly
At myself

I could have
Done something
Yet I chose
Not to

Why?
I don't know
Why did I not
Do anything?

I am mad
At me, myself
And I

I chose not to act
On my beliefs and ideas
On my viewpoint
To help

Why?
I was afraid

Simpy afraid

I love You,
Oooh it sounds so simple. Right?
A combination of three words.
Mere. Three. Words.
Do You see the fire
that burns in me
till it turns me into ashes?
And then I rise back from those ashes
To say to You the same words; yet again!
I love You!
Forgive yourself
Perfect was never a word suited for you
Love yourself
Everything comes back to this
Love your sister
She has been picked apart, degraded, and has an internal war eating her from the inside out
Love your brother
He has a time stamp of deliverance to a life of incarceration, bullets released from an absence of sense, lack of educated, blind ambitious followers.
Raise your head
You are a Goddess created
with disarming beauty in mind.
Continue to place one foot in front of the other
You are meant and strongly designed for forward movement.
Take no steps back, do not bow down your head, do not close your mouth
In fear that judgment will fall
It will, but you must speak anyways.
Your voice is imperative
to the growth of lost girls who are unsure what real women are made of.
Your voice is imperative to the peaking of the minds of men unsure what to look for in a Queen, show him.
Your voice is imperative to the readjustment of the image of
Black Women with large voices
Black Women with high diction
Black Women with love language
Black Women with literary genius
Black Women filled with nothing less than the peace & love God has manifested within us.
Black Women
Black Women
Black Women
Who love Black men like double chocolate moist bliss
Who love White men like dark roast coffee filled with cream
Who love Latino men like Butterscotch candy dipped in chocolate
The list goes on
Black Women who love like we are bound to implode if we don't give the universe what it is that we need back.
Black Women
Your Mother
Black Women
Your Sister
Black Women
Your Friend
Black Women
Your Lover
Black Woman
Love Her.
"And singing still dost soar, and soaring ever singest."

The earth was green, the sky was blue:
I saw and heard one sunny morn
A skylark hang between the two,
  A singing speck above the corn;

A stage below, in gay accord,
White butterflies danced on the wing,
And still the singing skylark soared
And silent sank, and soared to sing.

The cornfield stretched a tender green
  To right and left beside my walks;
I knew he had a nest unseen
  Somewhere among the million stalks:

And as I paused to hear his song
While swift the sunny moments slid,
Perhaps his mate sat listening long,
And listened longer than I did.

You're a man of sorrow
You're a man of passion
Your love is deep, your love is wide

You're still so into her
It's evident, please don't deny.

Your misinterpretations trouble me
Your sorrow scares me
Your love is thick, your love is strong

Your eyes are still set on her
It's evident, please don't deny

Your arms are still wide open for her return
Your heart craves
Your sorrow grips

What more can I say?
What more can I say?

I'm not demanding anything from you
All I have is some little understanding of you
I'm just a fan of all I know of you
Please don't misinterpret me, Mr. Weary Heart.
We are all human, why are we treated in different way?.  Some are treated like animals, not caring if they are saved.
We are all human, but some face harsh prejudice.  To drive around in certain towns, you are taking a risk.
We are all human, but some are viewed as the **** of the earth.  When people look into our faces, they're persuaded we have no worth.
We are all human, some people are treated so bad.  Some people have an objective, and that's to keep you sad.
We are all human, some think they are better than you.  They do not care anything about you, in fact, they think you are through.
We are all human, therefore we should be treated the same.  The only difference there should be is the spelling of your name.
We are all human, no matter what position you hold.  You were born into this world, hopefully you'll leave, when you are old.
