I see
Your beauty in your smile
Your beauty in your eyes
Your beauty in your cadence
Your beauty in your fragrances.

I see
Your beauty in your laughter
Your beauty in your hair
Your beauty in your patience
Your beauty in your grace.

I see
Your beauty in everything
Woman, you drive me crazy
When you're in my arms
When your eyes meet mine
And when you lovingly nudge my hands.

does anyone drink tea anymore?
or pick up what fell on the floor?
three-second rule no longer?
selfied self-image now stronger?
being left to our smart devices
such coloured, fruitbowl choices, or
wardrobe change for inner voices?

I walk in the cold
and watch the snow fall

Snowflakes burning my lips,
kissing my skin
landing in my hair
stick to my lashes

I wish I could admire every single one
take the time to see their shape
know them deeply
love them generously
as I want done to me
Yes, the cold can be harsh, but it's a sign I'm alive.

I'm so confused

Scars mar my heart

Unsure of which path

Would be right to chose

I'm tired of being used

I gave you my options

But you simply refused

My mentality I feel you

Purposefully abused
