my love

I have seen sunsets
lovelier than you,
and you are not as
powerful as the ocean;
and cheesecake tastes sweeter
than your lips,
your hair does not quite
outshine the sun,
and a light breeze in May
is gentler
than your gentle hands.
I love the sound of your voice,
but there are symphonies
lovelier,
and the words of Neruda
are more well-versed
than any that you've spoken;
and yet,
your inadequacy leaves me
enchanted
like nothing in this world,
and I wouldn't live
or die
for sunsets and rhymes
but I'd live and die for you;
there is nothing
in this world
that I'd compare you to, and
some things are more beautiful,
but they don't mean as much.

When will I realize there is no enemy
I'm only caught up in a cage of my own dualities
It's not the only time I realize we're all standing here
But it's the only time that I see what needs to be said clear

I walk into a battle field before I come home

This is the moment where you take this story for as it is
Another book in life that takes you for a ride to glory or hell
So when it comes into time, on which line, which side will you choose?

I walk into a battle field before I come home

I'm only speaking in the tongues that give you the remedy
Come on and listen in, together my friend comes the clarity
What are you waiting for? A miracle is always happening
Oh you can't afford to let it all slip away

Don't run away
Your troubles will double and finally catch up to you
There is no hiding now
Don't look to the other guy
It all comes down to seeing yourself in a different way
So stand in front of the mirror
Just take a look and see what I see

I walk into a battle field before I come home

1 Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me,
2 Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee;
3 Sounds of the rude world heard in the day,
4 Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd a way!

5 Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song,
6 List while I woo thee with soft melody;
7 Gone are the cares of life's busy throng, --
8 Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
9 Beautiful dreamer awake unto me!

10 Beautiful dreamer, out on the sea
11 Mermaids are chaunting the wild lorelie;
12 Over the streamlet vapors are borne,
13 Waiting to fade at the bright coming morn.

14 Beautiful dreamer, beam on my heart,
15 E'en as the morn on the streamlet and sea;
16 Then will all clouds of sorrow depart, --
17 Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
18 Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!

Traveler
I wish you were mine
Captured in time
Fast asleep forevermore
Gathering stars
From worlds afar
Teaching us well
What love is for...

Two dreamers dreaming
When two worlds collides
Yet who shall stray
To the other side...
Where sunshine
Shines strange
Familiarity changes
On unknown waves
Yet still we ride...

I wish I could define you
But I don't know you.
I wish I could define the way I feel about you.
But, to define is to limit,
And there are not enough words in the dictionary
To describe how crazy I am for you.
There is not enough oxygen in the world
To describe how breathless I get when I see you.
There are not enough philosophers
To talk about how mysterious you are.
There are not enough stars
To describe the galaxies inside of you.
There is not enough water
To describe how good it feels to drown in your mind.
There are not enough planes
To describe the way you flow in my thoughts.
There is not enough of me
To describe how much I want all of you.
