The seasons change, the trees lose color, limbs feel empty.
yet they will grow others.
leaves take advantage of the fall ground
beautiful, quiet, barely make a sound.
hearts combine like salt in the ocean
we dance around in this rain in such soft motion
this is what we dream of as we gaze the sky
this is what i believe when i look into your eyes

My eyes weigh heavy
The force of sadness like gravity
My life is not a book
It’s only a short story

I'll lay in my bed with my heart in my hand
asking for a beat, a way to sing to you
a chorus to show you , a melody to fill the air between
Our song is still on repeat
a new genre of music, waiting to play against the sheets.

Writing all of my emotions in paint on the wall
To step back and see a portrait of you all along
Build the frame to crop out the guilt
Then admire the beauty of how it once felt

Clear views
miles of nothing
you look right past me
you looked right through me
I'm a window to your better view
window clear invisible meh
