I am fruit snacks and dragon tales.
I am trips to the Cape and tan lines.
I am country music and pearl earrings.
I am black raspberry ice cream and late night drives.
I am yoga at noon and apple picking in the fall.
I am Loud.
I am Loved.
I am Alive.
Inject me,
Pierce the skin
And it let it merge
With blood cells and
Bacardi,
Press your lips against mine
And slip the pill onto my tongue,
Don't pull away until each grain
dissolves
Stacks of cash
From selling love in bottles,
Capsules,
IV drips,
Losing our minds as we
Become entangled in unconsciousness.

But when I wake up you're gone.
Sweaty palms,
Goosebumps,
The fear of relinquishing control,
Or even losing my mind?
We become addicted to the visions
In our head,
The dreams we steal from dark corners
Of the brain
When we are intoxicated,
Yet with each passing of time
We rely on what numbs the pain
Of what we lost.
lidless eyes
and the thought that
I'll never get better
is comforting in its
own particularly dreadful way
waves of solitude
self imposed and ever increasing
can't won't fit in afraid to fit out
misunderstood and still in search of self
identity folks is more important than anything
it just ***** when your self
is... not much at all
just a phase
i hope
I found you standing there,
in the corner of a big room.
I could see in your eyes,
you were a flower ready to bloom.

You were ready to go,
ready to see the world.
You were all alone,
just another lonely girl.

Like the moon in the night sky,
so far from the stars.
You were in need of a friend,
to help heal the scars.

And so I reached out,
and you took my hand,
and we explored the high mountains,
and put our toes in the sand.

We ran through the valleys,
and flew through the sky.
We walked through the forest,
and laughed till we cried.

We looked up at the stars,
so far yet so close,
so big yet so small,
we wanted them all.

And so we became stars.

Sarina
little ***** being,
the petals that swathe you are pinker than mine
and your nectar is sweeter too. you
deserve to have a name
that matches
your melanin – pure as infant’s skin, not
human
but better than.
