A friend I am not
I do not know how to mask desire with faithfulness
To falsely turn my cheek for the sake of another

No friends have I sought
But only intricate details of a lover
Held up in brilliant contrast to the sun
Until their affections I have won
Which subdue me for a while or so
But a friend I am not, so off they must go

As sidewalks are laced with tiny delicacy in blue
They say to me, 'I will not forget you'
But what is forgotten, if remembered without meaning?
Ah, and the blue laced flowers waver, unsure
As if to remember is to abhor

Mads
it's suicide
really,
cigarettes.

but the wistful
thin milky smoke
reminds me of peace
that I never feel anymore.

the drag
the heat
and I drag my lungs behind me on a gravel road
but the hit
I take
feels
safe

craving
to wrap my lips
around a death trap
an expensive
killer
beautiful
cigarette
I want to smoke cigarettes, but I can't. I think they look beautiful. But they do such horrible things to your body.

Come for me at midnight
when the breeze whispers my name
and feel my hands upon you
in the warmth of candle flame
******* lips in raindrops
as they play upon your skin
sweat trailing down your body
touching places where I've bin
let the night caress you
as you give your body or'
to the pleasure of each mem'ry
of those nights we shared before

Road Trip

I just want to ride,
Far or near,
By your side,
And away from here.

Driving to nowhere,
In our own sweet time;
Arriving to unknown somewheres,
With your hand in mine.

We'll forget the rest of our town,
While we go into the stars.
After we watch the sun go down,
From the hood of your car.

With that crisp summer air,
And your face shining in the light,
Not a worry or care,
Our old lives out of sight.
Inspired by my desire to go on a road trip this summer but then the situation changed with the one I wanted to go with. So looks like it's just this.

Where is the elixir that will make me forget?
I need to find it I need to drink it.
For I need to flee,
for I want to be free.
Free from the burden,
free from the torture and guilt.
I just want to run,
To a place far away.
Away from the corruption,
Away from the sins.
To place where I will know,
Know the meaning of peace.
So help me forget the memories good and bad.
All I need, all I want,
Is freedom that I lust in a land far far away.

It's a little monkey's birthday,
and he's off in his own world.

There's a bear, always watching the sky,
    off in his own world.

Our little piggy friend is studying love.

Now, it's time to buckle down and decide
     who's worth it.
10/19/12

From a surreal, poignant dream involving Colin (a friend), Curious George, Winnie the Pooh, and I believe Piglet, among others. This was copied almost verbatim from a song that began to play in the dream to a Pink Floyd-esque keyboard jam. I awoke after the last line had repeated 5 or so times. I also kissed a cow at some point, a neglected cow who needed love.

I don't even know who
to pray to anymore

It almost seems like an
insult to ask You,

when you're watching us
burn our world to
bits.

So.
Universe, I guess you are
holding the cards now...

There are so many volcanoes,
all burning Rome.

I suspect even without my feeble
wish,

You have burdens enough.
