sparkles of blue green gold
and red flow around
in four inch death machines
as they twirl in small circles
of beating rhymes and
musical conspiracies

tight jackets in plain colors
of black white with an
occasional bright color of
shy blue of daring pink
that unbutton going down
into slacks of the high quality

bodies press together in
slowing moving paces
that circle and twirl around
a hardwood floor that
clicks with all the death machines
steps and shiny scuffed
unpolished foot aches

holes of endless happiness
that go on forever
never ending in
bright happy colors as
pairs of two fly seamlessly
in a circle around
a glass slipper belonging to no one

I want you
All of you
Not just one little smile or the moment of brief eye contact we share

I want your fingers all over me
Memorizing each detail, each scar, each vein that travels through my body
Tell me I'm beautiful although I protest and say I'm not

I want your fire that burns into your eyes
That sly grin that's saved for me that always gives me butterflies
I want your eyes savoring every little bit of me

My lust for you drives me wild, although I can hide it behind a shy smile and girlish giggles
Although I'd love for that fire to consume you and take me
I also want little kisses on the cheek or forehead

Although I want to have you in bed so bad, my love for you isn't limited to ***
I want to know you, to know every little secret your body and mind holds
I want to lie with you in my arms and just count the reasons of why I fell for you

I want all of you

So many misinterpreted metaphors
make me cringe
''are you trying to ruin poetry for everyone''
but I hide my damp eyes behind my fringe
because I mustn't argue and my teachers are never wrong
They sing without a meaning or lyric in their song
we are taught to write what they want to hear
not the truth we feel inside our hopes and fears

But i must turn the other cheek
to get my degree I need..when home I ponder, I weep
because it was the school that killed poetry
for many of my peers..
But all is not lost..wipe away those tears
Grab the pen that feels ethical
the paper that doesn't deceive, doesn't lie
and write a poem that you can feel
you'll get out of school alive
(You know who you are who started this haha!)..Don't get me wrong I love teachers in general..I plan on becoming an awesome one someday too :)

Did you think i'd waste my time on you?
When the world came knocking at my door; I would seize the moment with or with you.

We are selfish entities
I am my own demise
For I want you here
Here inside my day
I see your words
I hear your voice

Is that slang for me?
I hope it it is
But then I hope it isn't
I shrug it off
Cognitive dissonance
You're responsible
You're to blame for this
That's ridiculous
Your actions run deep in my veins
Your words play inside my brain
And I try in vein
But to no avail
The game we play
Is never fair

Let me help you
I know I can
You're a strong woman
And I'm just a man
But there's things to learn
I'm sure you understand
We are selfish
I want you to myself
But in the end
I know your full
Of doubts

think your worst thought

and throw it deep in the pines
to get caught on the vines

then go there at night
when the light of a bone
colored moon makes shadows
rattle and bite

and hold that thought

tight.

The poets are dead.

We killed them
Trading truthful words
For false security.
