It hurts that I can't hold you,
Tightly
Caressingly
lovingly

you can't love me because you're head over heels for other girls
who aren't me
never will be me
you'll never love me

I love you, you don't know that though
lets keep it that way
so when I cry myself to sleep
I know I won't hold you accountable
in my dreams
Haven't written regular poetry in a long time. I miss it.

Marry me
Marry me right now
Take me and keep me
In holy matrimony
Forever and always
That's all I ask
You're all I'll ever need

Petal pie
The pink Panther tune
Was played in a major key
Upon my thigh
Composed of my son's raspberries.

Accompanied by tinkling laughter
Practiced with gusto
I don't think we'll make the x-factor
But maybe we'll do our own show!
Wrap your arms around my waist.
Pull me up close,  into you,
so close I can breathe you in,
lose myself in the scent of your skin.

Sway me softly, gently,.
Our bodies moving in rhythm
to the melody of life,  of love.
We're what dreams are made of.

In everyone's life
There comes a time
When we watch all the pieces shatter
The shards find their way into many feet
and the blood seems to signal a defeat

The scars remain but eventually the pain fades
The stains however are a constant reminder
Of the challenges faced
and the strife that has been conquered

The beauty is found
When the pieces are thrown out
and the mess that once troubled us
Is renounced and without

Through perseverance and unconditional love
There is no telling what we are capable of
